Description du mandat :

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) stagiaire pour joindre l'équipe logiciel embarquée du DERMS afin d'assurer des tâches d'assurance qualité logicielle. Il ou elle participera à la conception et au développement d'outils et de procédures automatisées ayant pour but de faciliter le processus de test de toute l'équipe. Le ou la candidate sera également appelé(e) à travailler sur des installations matérielles de test dans notre laboratoire et de contribuer à son amélioration.

Principales fonctions :
- Concevoir et développer de nouvelles fonctionnalités relatives à nos outils internes de gestion des tests
- Tester les nouvelles fonctionnalités, identifier les risques et proposer des solutions alternatives
- Aider à la correction de problèmes déjà existants
- Automatiser les processus de tests actuels à l'aide de plusieurs outils logiciels
- Supporter/améliorer les installations matérielles de test au laboratoire

Environnement de travail :
Le candidat ou la candidate évoluera dans une équipe de développement jeune, dynamique et multidisciplinaire. Le ou la stagiaire interagira avec différentes technologies, plateformes logicielles et matérielles, ainsi que différents langages de programmation tels que Robot Framework, TypeScript, React, Golang, Python etc sous Linux. Le candidat ou la candidate aura également l'opportunité de se familiariser avec des technologies infonuagiques (Docker) et des langages bas-niveau (C/C++) à travers sa collaboration avec les équipes au sein du DERMS.

Qualifications:

Qualifications requises:
- Inscrit dans une université accréditée au Québec.
- Avoir un intérêt et une expérience en programmation Python
- Avoir un intérêt ou expérience avec Robot Framework
- Avoir une expérience avec l'environnement de développement Visual Studio Code.
- Avoir une expérience avec Git.
- Être motivé(e), créatif(ve) et efficace autant au sein d'une équipe que dans un contexte individuel
- Avoir de l'initiative
- Résider localement dans la région métropolitaine de Montréal.
- Avoir un accès au transport jusqu'au bureau de Brossard.
- Posséder des compétences en français au niveau professionnel (parlé et écrit).

Qualifications préférables:
- Avoir de l'expérience avec C++, Golang, Linux et/ou Docker.
- Avoir des connaissances et notions de base de génie électrique.
- Être à l'aise de travailler dans des équipes multidisciplinaires.
- Posséder également des compétences en anglais (parlé et écrit).

Job Description:

We are looking for an intern to join the DERMS embedded software team to perform software quality assurance tasks. He or she will participate in the design and development of automated tools and procedures to facilitate the testing process for the entire team. The candidate will also be required to work on test hardware installations in our laboratory and contribute to its improvement.

Main Functions:
• Design and develop new features related to our internal test management tools
• Test new features, identify risks, and propose alternative solutions
• Help fix existing problems
• Automate current testing processes using various software tools
• Support/improve test hardware installations in the laboratory

Work Environment: The candidate will evolve in a young, dynamic, and multidisciplinary development team. The intern will interact with different technologies, software and hardware platforms, and programming languages such as Robot Framework, TypeScript, React, Golang, Python, etc., under Linux. The candidate will also have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with cloud technologies (Docker) and low-level languages (C/C++) through collaboration with teams within DERMS.
