Eaton's EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Shipping Receiving Swing Shift. The hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. The rate for this position is $19.77 per hour. This position requires ability to assist the department supervisor as needed in shipping and receiving material while also supporting the assembly operation by ensuring packaging, labels, and product are available for assembly packers to prepare final product to customers. In this function you will:
• Understand and participate in (as time permits) all duties including assembly, packing, and screwdriver operations, unload conveyor line.
• Ensure scrap quantities are correct and that shipping personnel receive tally sheets daily, as well as enter scrap for assembly and plating departments, and running and verifying reports as needed.
• Use computer to schedule shipments, enter product loaded on trailer to verify shipping in SAP, receive all products into plant, reconcile shipping/receiving errors, and create/make box orders using SAP program.
• Load trailers while understanding weight balance requirements for shipments, including direct ship. Contact freight company and schedule shipping of loads.
• Unload trailers and ensure product is in receivable condition, verify counts, and notify corresponding departments.
• Perform tasks and collaborate with others (shipping / line servers, supervisors, packers, and plating personnel) to accurately read, follow, and run the production schedule, notify them of issues that might arise, and minimize packing downtime by supplying stations.
• Print packaging labels and deliver these, pallets, cartons, components, and OP sheets to assembly/packer stations as needed.
• Use shrink-wrap machine to wrap pallets and inspect pallets for quality including correct boxes, labels, quantities, and materials.
• Verify count and product by reference number of palletized products.
• Write move ticket and record onto shipping log, ensuring product is shipped against open orders.
• Perform cycle counts, inventory checks, and inventory of components used in the department and reconcile discrepancies.
• Monitor stock orders levels and reorder supplies as needed.
• Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve any issues related to shipments.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and clerical operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred qualifications:
• Ability to utilize computers and use SAP.
• Prior experience working in a team environment.
• Six months shipping and receiving experience.
Position Criteria:
• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and to lift/carry 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to use a variety of hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow all safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to become forklift and frontend loader certified (powered industrial truck trained)
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions including use of open order report.
• Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts)
• Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions as well as read, understand, and work with complicated software programs including (but not limited to) E-Safety, MESH Prism, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite
