Eaton's Critical Power Solutions (CPS) Division is currently seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Field Service EHS team. This position will be remote; with a strong preference to be located in Raleigh, NC. Relocation assistance will be provided to Raleigh, NC.

The Field Service EHS Manager is responsible for supporting environmental, health, safety, and security efforts for our distributed national workforce of approximately 500 employees comprised of regional Field Service Technicians and support positions. Additionally, this role is responsible for our Divisional headquarters building the Raleigh HUB and the Raleigh Service Technology Center. This position will drive and champion a zero-incident and employee empowerment culture by facilitating and overseeing all EHS aspects with regard to injury and illness reporting, tracking, and investigations of safety accidents and a continuous improvement mindset.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750 - $181,500 a year. This position is also eligible for a EIC bonus program.

What you'll do:

  • Identify and implement strategic objectives around EHS by closely working with all key stakeholders with a goal of zero workplace injuries and incidents.
  • Lead the uniform adherence to electrical product installation, start up and commissioning methods, providing coaching and direct assistance to resolve technical challenges and application issues
  • Interface with Strategic Accounts, Project Managers, and Customers to support Field Service energy control and electrical safe work practices program compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with incident management including but not limited to: reporting, investigation and corrective/preventative actions.
  • Develop CPS Service division safety programs for deployment to the distributed workforce including but not limited to new PPE requirements, regulation changes, policy updates and local recognition programs.
  • Partner with training resources to review and assist with the development of division training processes to ensure that required EHS training is defined and is tracked to completion.
  • Ensure assessments of Electrical Safety and EHS Programs are conducted, including field inspections, policy and procedure reviews to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support the development and completion of customer required pre-qualification documents including: Risk Assessment Processes, Site Specific Safety Plans, and integration of EHS requirements into Method of Procedures.
  • Provide feedback and input on new product development safety design reviews for CPS Service business.
  • Serve as a resource to the CPS Service division by staying relevant and informed on safety, industry and technical related topics.
  • Support the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and utilize MESH tools to drive improvements by participating and co-leading MESH Teams.
  • Responsible for developing EHS competency through direct report(s).
  • Act as point of contact for federal, state, and local inspections pertaining to EHS, and ensures compliance with permits and other safety and environmental concerns.

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in Environmental, Health and Safety program management and employee training
  • Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience
  • Experience in electrical safety or supporting employees working in a live electrical environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree from an accredited institution
  • Professional certifications Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or country equivalent where available.

Position Success Criteria:

  • If in Raleigh, NC, can expect up to 25% travel. If located elsewhere, can expect up to 50% travel.
