Senior Process Engineer

What you'll do:

The primary function of this position is to support manufacturing of key components for product Breaktor. Accountable for the safety, quality, productivity of the manufacturing processes and equipment within the manufacturing areas, using Lean and Six Sigma tools to make improvements while minimizing cost. The Senior Process Engineer will be dealing with new manufacturing cells' implementation as well as improving existing cells' layout while leading cost-out events and promotes culture of continuous improvement.

  • Provide technical support to the specified area given by Value Stream Leader
  • Support and drive investment projects for improvement, including machine purchase recommendations, machine upgrades, installation, programming, etc.
  • Lead equipment and/or technology transfer related sub-projects ;ensure the new processes successful implementation
  • Support and drive new projects and current processes and build close relationship with other manufacturing operations and units
  • Provide technical support to assigned processes and areas in response to production and Operator/Machine setter/Tecnician needs
  • Identify inefficient processes, through observation and through interaction with operators within the manufacturing areas, and implement improvements through utilization of tools like Six Sigma
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams, assist with corrective actions and implement improvements and document associated cost savings
  • Provide support to Project engineering in new product and process development. Take the responsibility in new projects launch in early phase
  • Develop and maintain effective production standards for assigned processes
  • Be an active member of the Continuous Improvement and Development teams
  • Maintain standard work, work instructions, process maps, FMEA's MOC ,CAR and other required documents for assigned processes
  • Proactively working on continuous improvement suggestions relating to his/her work to reach zero defect

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required, Master's degree is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is required

Skills:

  • Prior work experience as process engineer, industrial engineer or manufacturing engineer
  • Experience in metall press technologies
  • Experience in cold welding, soldering and coil winding are preferred
  • Ability to use effectively ECIS such as standard work, setup reduction, 5S+, Problem solving and TPM
  • Right Attitude to both teamwork and ability to assert oneself
  • Superb Flexibility if Business Issues require those
  • Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills
  • Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
  • English and Hungarian language skills required
  • Strong problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, but temporary up to 50%
  • Experience with lean manufacturing methods
  • Experience and knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing, Process FMEA's
