Senior Mechanical Engineer
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The position will be based at our facility in Sumter, SC. We are offering relocation assistance for candidates who reside within the U.S.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
The Mechanical Engineer (Switchboards) is responsible for engineering customer orders including detailed review of layout and application of equipment, wiring and component selection, component layout and modeling using 3D cad software, and supports various phases of order management from initial engineering review thru production shipment
In this function you will:
• Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received for incoming switchboard orders.
• Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for switchboards, utilizing Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager.

• Identify and design special fabricated parts required using ACAD and 3-D modeling systems (Auto-Desk Inventor, etc.), ensuring that MI's are completed and the material is routed accordingly to the appropriate assembly team.
• Interface with customers, channel partners, Field-Sales, and EatonCare through participation in plant visits, training support and customer events.
• Provide input to Product Line development teams on design and pick table enhancements.
• Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems.
• Support Satellite Plants thru design review and product implementation.
• Facilitate continuous improvement process to improve the productivity and quality
• Ensure compliance to all applicable national and local electrical codes and standards as they relate to the products we produce (UL, NEC, NEMA, OSPHD).
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years' experience supporting Low Voltage Electrical distribution equipment.
- Experience with MRP/ERP Systems
- Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Minimum 3 years of Inventor/Solidworks or other similar 3D modelling software experience
- Experience working of design of switchboards

The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 35 pounds. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to listen and to talk.
