Eaton is hiring a Senior Manager - Corporate Accounting and Reporting in Beachwood, Ohio. Relocation is offered for this position.

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting and Reporting, this individual will lead the corporate controllership team responsible for Eaton's consolidated financial statements and results; reporting and analysis related to corporate expenses, including equity compensation for the total company; and the accounting for various non-operational areas such as global reserves for ICPI, environmental, asbestos, insurance, and others.

What you'll do:

• Leading the preparation and review of Eaton's consolidated monthly financial statements and reporting packages used by senior leadership and in SEC filings.

• Analyzing and interpreting Eaton's consolidated corporate results to assess key business drivers of performance and develop recommended actions for senior leadership.
• Preparing and analyzing the monthly forecast and the annual profit plan for corporate expenses.
• Evaluating complex accounting estimates, including , including legal, environmental, and insurance-related, are determined in accordance with US GAAP and presenting alternatives and recommendations to senior leadership in a simple and easy to grasp manner.
• Overseeing the integrity, accuracy and timely information and reporting for all corporate ledgers, including support for all corporate functions.
• Ensuring that the accounting for Eaton's executive compensation programs, including equity compensation and company-owned life insurance policies complies with US GAAP. Including developing relationships with Eaton's service provider to ensure efficient use of service providers' tools for use in our accounting and reporting procedures.
• Responsible for overseeing the accounting for the US healthcare program (claims and available discounts/rebates), including coordination with the global benefits team, as necessary, to flag early indicators of performance variances.
• Driving the finance transformation strategy within the team, specifically by delivering a global process focus and the COE strategy across the global controllership.
• Partnering with various corporate and operational cross-functional teams on key business issues and process improvements.
• Ensuring effectiveness of controls and compliance with company policies and embodying a zero-defect mindset.
• Managing and developing a team of Managers, Specialists and Lead Financial Analysts through coaching, feedback, exposure and stretch assignments.
• Developing and executing organizational structure/strategy for financial accounting team in India or other low-cost countries.
• Building organizational capability by attracting and selecting diverse, high caliber, promotable talent.
• Specific areas of responsibility: Reporting and analysis - Segments, corporate expenses, other income, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, consolidated profit plan and forecast, balance sheet review, consolidated cash; Accounting - Legal, Asbestos, audit fees, Eaton Corp/Cooper Corp Controllership, Insurance & Risk Management, Environmental, Executive Incentive Comp, Equity compensation; Tax assistance for legal entity forecasting and transfer price initiatives; Intercompany team; Ledger and account maintenance.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum ten (10) years of accounting and/or finance experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of manager of people experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA/CFA
• Master's degree
• Manufacturing experience.
• Public accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of financial systems such as Oracle, SAP and HFM.
• Working experience with SEC reporting, US GAAP accounting standards, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $158249.97 - $232099.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
