"Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has Sr. Engineer - Opex as open position. In this position, the person is responsible for successful execution of Operational Excellence projects for Engineering. The role is responsible to facilitate development and deployment of business process and tool for new product development and technology development engneering using the proven tools and processes of Eaton business systems (EBS) and Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS).
The role responsibility is to build culture and competency on Design for Six Sigma in Engineering Organization. It requires coordination with council at EIIC and Global to deploy standard practices and drive Engineering Excellence practices. "

1. Collaborate with the Global DFSS Council and EIIC Council to roll out standardized DFSS practices, ensuring effective change management through robust communication methods.
2. Manage and coordinate DFSS Green Belt training programs, working closely with candidates to ensure project completion within stipulated timelines and maintain healthy ratio of training to certification.
3. Collaborate with Black Belts to develop comprehensive training modules that support robust design, including mini-modules by subject, reusable training libraries, eLearning modules, case studies, and exam questions.
4. Maintain and update the DFSS ERG, including the certification database, project lifecycle, and development of DFSS tools (calculators, scorecards, automated tools), dashboards, and metrics.
5. Drive the implementation of DFSS methodologies and tools across various projects, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
6. Work with DFSS points of contact from all businesses and COEs to ensure Green Belts and Black Belts are aligned with the appropriate NPI projects.
7. Ensure standard DfX practices and tools are released through PROLaunch Governance and support their deployment across the business.
8. Support the measurement of DFSS effectiveness and deployment maturity through assessments and certification models.
9. Publish periodic reports to stakeholders and leaders on DFSS progress, project health, assessments, and other relevant metrics.
10. Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify critical trends and opportunities for design improvement.
11. Identify opportunities to digitize DFSS tools and collaborate with IT to create digital modules and interconnected toolsets, continuously building digital skills to simplify processes."

Qualifications:

A degree in engineering (B Tech or BE), masters preferred
2-3 years' experience in Operations Excellence, Six Sigma, Hands on experience in R&D project with a total experience of 5-7 years

Skills:

"Experience of working in DFSS/Lean/DMAIC tools, Knowledge of New Product Introduction processes & tools
DFSS certification or relevant advanced certification in Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
Digital Proficiency: Skills in digital transformation and tool development to enhance DFSS processes."
"Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and departments.
Leadership skills - capability to lead change
Good communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports to stakeholders
Strategic Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve high-level issues during project execution"
