Eaton's Assemblies and Residential Solutions group (ARS) division is seeking a SCM Planning & Customer Service Manager to join their Supply Chain team. This position is located at our electrical manufacturing site in Sumter, SC. Sumter is conveniently located outside of Columbia, SC.
The Planning & Customer Service Manager reports to the Supply Chain Manager and has overall responsibility for customer requirements, production control, On Time Delivery, Finished Goods inventory level and reorder point. Provides accounting support regarding SIOP process to identify continuity of the business. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations and customers to support business goals and objectives.

In this role you will:
• Lead overall Planning process across all the Data Center customers.
• Work very closely with operations/Opex to continually improve the efficiency internal capacity.
• Maintain direct communication with sales/PMO to meet and go beyond on customer expectations.
• Define the monthly/daily schedules for the production line in coordination with the customer expectation/internal capacity/material availability.
• Be the focal point in getting the delivery confirmation schedule from customer, work with logistics on carriers to ensure we ship on time to customer.
• Participate in daily Tier meetings to understand the challenges/issues, escalate promptly for resolution to meet the customer needs.
• Lead the Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) process for the Switchboard Data Center Product Line.
• Leverage SIOP discipline to support plant planning processes, monitor scheduling plan vs. actual to identify performance gaps for mid-month SIOP review /adjustment.
• Obtain information from Product Line/PMO/Customer Service and Operations for material planning and forecasting.
• Calibrate plant Master Schedule tool to align with actual capacity; Monitor actual lead time to review the feasibility of plant rough cut capacity; review gaps with management and at SIOP.
• Has full control of the production plan in every production line to satisfy customer requested dates.
• Anticipate and implement new process improvements and ensure support from employees.
• Identify and implement physical inventory procedures with Accounting to maintain accurate inventory transactions and documentation.
• Develop objectives with the Materials Department and providing periodic progress reports to increase employee motivation and productivity of the department.
• Facilitate the identification and communication of identify/resolve component shortages to the Purchasing department in order to maintain accurate documentation and to arrange for the supply of additional units if needed.
• Develop and maintain inventory control systems that meet ongoing and future facility needs.
• Ensures personnel are adequately trained in the performance of their duties. Conducts periodic performance evaluations of direct reports.
• Provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to employees to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development. Effectively plan and manage the organization and utilization of people, technology and materials to achieve continuous improvement in departmental performance.
Your Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of overall experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, or a combination
• Minimum 1+ year experience managing people and/or project teams
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven work experience in a custom or engineered to order manufacturing setting
• Experience with Eaton systems: Vista, Bid Manager, Plant Order Manager, Mentor, OMS and AS400
• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering from an accredited institution
Your Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Outlook, Word, Power BI and SharePoint
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving mindset
• Effective cross-functional collaboration
• Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs
• Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting needs and expectations of internal and external stakeholders

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
