SAP Ariba Systems Analyst

Kalamazoo, MI

Eaton's IT Supply Chain Management team (Plan, Source Deliver) is currently seeking an Ariba Systems Analyst to join team. This position will be based at our Beachwood, Ohio, Moon TWP, PA, Houston, TX, Galesburg, MI, Raleigh, NC or Menomonee Falls, WI. The position is eligible for a hybrid work setup.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105,000 - $154,000 a year.

Position Overview:
You will be responsible for designing, modeling, configuring, and implementing functional software and process solutions to meet desired business requirements. Analyze business processes and systems processes & recommend improvements that use standard Eaton software and processes. Participate in implementations and third-level support as required. Ability to understand and drive regional solutions and implement controls that are fully auditable and compliant with business and control standards

Essential Responsibilities:
• Responsible for in-depth functional & business process knowledge of target application
• Work in partnership with divisional and regional business process owners on system requirements, processes, and systems.
• Manages requirements scope & disposition through process compliance & gap analysis, integration testing & user acceptance methodology.
• Provide knowledge and input on the system implications of business process changes.
• Help to identify consolidated, worldwide target processes.
• Demonstrates analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.
• Applies project methodology and governance processes to the change control, system development life cycle, and regression testing.
• Support end-to-end processes and has an intermediate level understanding of system touch points.
• Works with the global governance team to ensure proposed solutions are in-line global solutions.
• Participate in business process improvement committees as needed.
• Strong communication skills - able to interact with senior-level leaders at divisional or regional level. Able to explain complex system issues and decision points using common business language (without using IT terms and language)
• Cultivates innovation

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 6 years of SAP experience required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with SAP Spend Management suite of applications such as Guided Buying & Sourcing
• Experience integrating Ariba with financial ERP systems such as SAP ECC, SAP S4, and Oracle
• Experience using reporting tools within SAP B&I to analyze data to resolve problems and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Strong level of SAP Ariba system expertise - gathered through numerous full-life cycle projects.

Soft skills

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a technical team
  • Patience and empathy when working with and coaching developers and testers
  • Extensive experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams
