Retail and Performance Lab Technician - Golf Pride

The expected annual salary range for this role is $56250.0 - $82500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
Golf Pride®, #1 golf grip brand worldwide, aims to strengthen the consumer experience at our Global Innovation Center by hiring a Performance Lab technician.
This team member will be integral to our current Retail and Performance Lab support. Your time will be split 50/50 between operating the Retail Lab and building out our newly constructed Performance Lab where we will provide VIP fittings and conduct consumer research on a daily basis.
This role is almost entirely consumer-facing and likely the very first impression of the Golf Pride Brand.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
~50% Retail Lab Support
• Process various Retail Lab transactions, maintain inventory, and work promptly to address consumer needs.
• Contribute to grip install efficiency: tasks including but not limited to, removing grips and tape, install new tape and grip, restocking supplies, and assisting customer service needs.

• Provide grip size and model recommendations according to consumer's needs.
• Uphold company standards for merchandising and product presentation to meet the standards of the best golf grip brand in the industry.
• Maintaining the Retail Lab and surrounding area in a clean, professional presentation at all times.
• Staying current with new golf technologies, ever-changing equipment features, and incorporating product knowledge into customer recommendations.
~50% Performance Lab Support
• Open and maintain the Performance Lab daily, ensuring it's consumer-ready and operating smoothly.Ensures meeting rooms are prepared for large events or key visitors.
• Conduct 1-on-1 grip fittings using tools such as TrackMan, Quintic, and pressure sensors.
• Support ongoing development of the grip fitting protocol based on feedback and performance data.
• Deliver an engaging, premium experience for VIP visitors and internal stakeholders.
• Program, facilitate and execute consumer research projects in support of NPD.
• Help build and refine a connected database fed by performance hardware (TrackMan, Quintic, etc.).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the Lab experience.
• Stay current on new technologies and testing methods relevant to golf performance.
General Golf Pride Support
• Occasional event support with set up of displays, testing equipment, etc. for community events (evenings or weekends possible)
• Welcome guests and visitors to Golf Pride with a level of hospitality that enhances our brand.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 2+ years of experience around club fitting and golf equipment with regripping experience.
- 1+ year of experience working with Trackman software and Microsoft Office Products
- Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates who reside within a 50 mile radius of Pinehurst, NC (28374) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Significant understanding of swing mechanics, club fitting and product knowledge.
- General understanding and passion for the game of golf and golf gear.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a Retail environment.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to experiment and learn.
- Background in kinesiology, sports science, golf instruction, analytics or similar field is a bonus
