Eaton's ES EMEA CS LS division is currently seeking a Regulatory Specialist. This role is based out of our Sarasota, FL OR Long Branch, NJ facilities. The Regulatory Specialist will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing product certifications for new and existing products. This individual will contribute to assembling, testing, and documenting product submittals. In addition, the candidate would help develop product standards and assist the development team to understand the codes and standards requirements. The role is part of a global team focused on delivering high quality products and services to the market.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain and execute regulatory certifications for fire and life safety products. This includes submitting request to various regulatory bodies and managing projects to ensure we maintain required certifications.
  • Interface with development engineers, program management and operations to ensure regulatory certifications meet required product standards. This includes helping develop Technical Publications to ensure accuracy of install instructions, User Manuals, Guides and Technical Bulletins.
  • Work with development engineers to plan, develop and maintain test infrastructure required for product testing.
  • Develop processes and procedures as well as interpret and execute policies, projects and programs as needed.
  • Work with Regulatory Bodies such as UL, ULC, FM and others to execute testing and ensure compliance of our products with local, national, and international codes/standards.
  • Participate in product standard development and ensuring the business understands the changes to the product requirements.
  • Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned goals.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent with five (5) years of experience OR ten (10) years of applicable experience.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Long Branch, NJ OR Sarasota, FL facilities will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of measuring and recording electrical properties, voltage, current, resistance, etc.
  • Knowledge of electronic designs utilizing various types of parts and techniques used to assemble, rework, and test a variety of products.
  • Able to read schematics and engineering documentations with a high degree of technical understanding.
  • Knowledge of product development lifecycle concepts.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows/Office, SAP, and other software platforms.
  • Previous experience in effectively presenting information in small groups and making administrative decisions related to carrying-out basic duties of the job as well as decisions that affect other positions or individuals.
  • Proven results in interpreting a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form while dealing with abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Project management skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with submitting and maintaining regulatory certifications and approvals.
  • Experience with product testing and troubleshooting of electronics.
  • Domain expertise in the fire and life safety industry
  • Knowledge of as well as participation in code and standards development.

Skills:

  • Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a global team.
