Eaton's EPG CHD HQ division is currently seeking a Regional Sourcing Manager, NA.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123,750 - $181,500 a year.

This role is responsible for leading the GEIS NA Business Unit's (B-Line and EP) Sourcing strategy and purchasing initiatives for 13 plants with a large diverse supply base. This role will also have responsibility for managing the New Product Introduction (NPI) for all GEIS. The primary function is to meet the key performance indicators for sourcing: Direct and Indirect Cost Out, supplier on-time delivery improvement and lead-time reduction, working capital improvement, improvement of resiliency and supplier selection for new product introduction.

The right individual acts as the sourcing focal point for SCM NA and NPI and leverages resources across the Eaton enterprise to achieve his/her objectives. A key success driver is the ability to work cross-functionally to develop and implement purchasing strategies that establish long-term sourcing partnerships, identifying & developing cost reduction opportunities.

What you'll do:

  • Provides direct management & indirect matrix management of the entire GEIS-NA procurement team on all aspects related to the sourcing of materials to fulfill customers' needs in the most efficient and profitable way, maximizing OTTR, minimizing lead time and inventory.
  • Manages entire SCM support for new product Introduction. The NPI CM will report into this role.
  • Manages the two Sourcing Analyst roles in SCM CoE and is involved in all aspects of their supervision including hiring replacements, setting goals and directing them to achieve key performance metrics and evaluating their performance. Leverages the extended SCM team to handle supply chain disruptions and ensure smooth flow of material from the suppliers.
  • Works closely with NA Finance function to provide Economic and Piece Price Variance guidance for Profit Plan and monthly rolling forecasts.
  • Supports and develops operating procedures and training of Strategic Sourcing work standards focused on best practices targeting key areas such as; supplier selection, supplier evaluation, supplier performance monitoring.
  • Works closely with the Global Procurement Organization and Strategic Sourcing commodity teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies that will improve the performance of suppliers in GEIS-NA.
  • Negotiates major purchase agreements as assigned with direction and support from Divisional Strategic Sourcing Director.
  • Drives to meet the On Time Delivery targets by putting in place the needed sourcing capacity, resources, and systems, utilizing GEIS best practices where appropriate.
  • Co-ordinates activities of the plants' procurement teams to optimize cost performance of the plants leveraging operating working capital usage and minimizing waste.
    Manages S-OTD, PPV, AR, Inventory, Supplier Quality and MCER Inflation to required levels consistently.
  • Contributes to the implementations of VAVE, Lean Manufacturing, Lean Supply Chain and Six Sigma methodology in all plants.
  • Evaluates and manages the procurement team's performance providing additional strength in depth to meet customer's expectations of lead time and service.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Accounting, or Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of seven (7) of experience in a manufacturing operations environment.
• Expert-level SAP procurement experience.
• Sourcing and management experience across multiple sites; including buying practices, MRO, contract administration.
• Experience of production planning, materials management, and global sourcing
• Experience and understanding of manufacturing systems, particularly MRP and JIT
• Experience with supplier quality assurance and supplier capability audits; including knowledge of PPAP, DOE, FMEA.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA Preferred
• Experience and detailed knowledge of data warehouse/analysis applications.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP system, concentrated in purchasing roles and transactions.

Skills:

• The incumbent must possess a strong sense of urgency, ownership with quick decision-making ability, and effective communication skills.
• Travel is required 20% of the time.
• Demonstrable track record of successful supplier selection and development.
• Demonstrable record of continuous improvement in sourcing KPI's
