Quality Manager

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Manager.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To improve organizational effectiveness through the coordination and deployment of the Eaton Quality System to ensure the business meets growth, productivity, and quality objectives. Specific responsibilities will be: Eaton Quality System, and Lead the plant's effort to understand and excel in the Eaton Business Excellence criteria.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Drive continual improvement in the Eaton Business Excellence process throughout the organization.
  • Develop a competent, high performance quality staff and promote a positive quality culture throughout the facility.
  • Deliver an optimized total quality system in accordance with Eaton quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Analyze organizational Quality metrics and perform Management Reviews to evaluate results and recommend countermeasures to close gaps at the operational level.

  • Participate as an equal member of the leadership team, all of whom are responsible for the advancement of the quality goals and objectives of the organization to insure the quality and effectiveness of the product and processes utilized in the plant.
  • Drive the deployment of the Eaton Quality Management System process for the organization including identification of improvement actions that result from the
  • EQMS assessment process.
  • Self-Assessments
  • Plant Assessments.
  • Identify and eliminate process variations resulting in external and internal failures through: EQMS, ELSS and other tools and processes.
  • Facilitate customer and third party Quality audits and inspections as appropriate to demonstrate compliance.
  • Act as the management representative managing ISO 9001 certification activities including authority on ISO 9001 requirements.
  • EQMS Self-assessment and integration.
  • ISO/IEC 17025 certification.
  • Oversee and/or lead the internal Quality System Audit program for the organization and manage the corrective action system in conjunction with the management review process.
  • Ensure successful launch through proper development and execution of process controls and APQP deliverables including PFMEA, Process Control Plans, Inspection Plans, PPAP, etc.
  • Drive expedient resolution of internal and external quality concerns through the application of 8D and other formal problem solving methodology as required.
  • Manage Final and In-Process inspections necessary to ensure Quality products/shipments to customers.
  • Quality Enterprise including supplier and customer linkage.

Additional Information:

  • Partner with the Supply Chain Management organization relative to the Supplier Quality Assurance activities of the operation as well as provide Quality interface, expertise and support to the organization's suppliers and partners.
  • Measure, manage, and drive improvement in supplier performance.
  • On Site Supplier Assessments.
  • Manage and Maintain Wisper System (Champion).
  • Manage DMR for external suppliers.
  • Lead plant Supplier Quality activities to ensure the incoming Quality of purchased parts and manage cost out compliance with suppliers.
  • This includes all traditional quality verification activities (receiving and in-process inspection, test, audit and repair activities, continuous improvement, product launch, supplier quality, and quality system compliance).
  • Maintain contact with customers and customer service center to resolve customer complaints; oversee customer quality relations programs to effectively mediate issues related to customer satisfaction and to oversee the correction of shipping errors.
  • Manage and Maintain CQM and Warranty claim system.
  • Manage DMR system for internal customers.
  • Focus five lead for internal customers.
  • Enterprise Performance Management Update.
  • Develop other activities as they are assigned.
  • Provide the necessary support so that the policy of industrial safety is respected in all its content, as well as to contribute to the success of the implementation of MESH.
  • Assure and promote the effective communication on EHS regulations and promote a ZERO incidents/accidents culture.
  • Assure the proper use of safety equipment as required for the work area, as established by EHS.
  • Implement and provide the necessary resources to support compliance of all EHS policies, practices and/or regulations, established by governmental agencies or Eaton Corporation.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five years' experience in Manufacturing and/or Engineering
• LEAN Enterprise
• Core tools: SPC, APQP, MSA, Control Plan, PFMEA.
• Problem Solving
• Project Management
• Quality Systems

KNOWLEDGE AND/OR EDUCATION:

• B.S. and/or M.S. degree in Engineering.
• Understanding of EQMS, ELSS, & EBE as components of the EBS, including the assessment process and criteria.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
• Bilingual English - Spanish.
• Advanced computer knowledge.
• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• CQE and/or CQM certification by ASQ (desired).

• Support compliance and monitoring of environmental and Safety policy.
• Contribute to the achievement of Environmental & Safety Goals
• Support to maintain the S.A.A. for the care of the Environment.
• Carry out the activities established in the Methods and Procedures of the S.A.A.
• Understand the impacts of Environmental Aspects.
• Carry out the provisions of the Operational Controls.
