Quality Inspector II
Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector II.
The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour. The hours for this role is 7:00 am - 3:30 pm.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton Aerospace is currently seeking a Quality Technician II on 1st shift to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA location.
This role is responsible to perform and verify visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and chemical, inspection functions relating to source, first article, receiving, in process, final and test operations using company or customer supplied drawings, equipment and/or procedures. Actively participation in collaboration with high-performance work teams in continuous improvement in the different processes that may be required, among others, follow up Eaton policies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Reviews and approves inspection/test data.
• Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and procedures.
• Support AS9100 requirements through the QMS by supporting Quality Best Practices
• Interface with customer/Government source inspection personnel
• Maintenance of inspection records in accordance with company procedures
• Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process.
• Understand and support the Quality Management System
• Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
• Maintains all equipment necessary to perform work as well as keep a clean work area.
• Provides support to leadership and others throughout the Quality department and manufacturing floor.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with AS9100 Quality System and product/process auditing techniques.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Detailed knowledge of aerospace product, manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
• Experience in aerospace products and applications.
• Certified as Internal or Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485) preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen
