Position Overview:
This position is responsible to ensure outgoing quality of all products in order to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. This includes outgoing inspection, first article & PPAP inspection approvals, the segregation, identification, re-work, and the proper disposition of unacceptable or non-conforming parts and materials. This position will also be responsible directing end of the line inspections, ensure manufacturing and all supporting documentation is complete, Quality Engineering and testing functions daily. Ensure facility complies with IATF and ISO-9001 certifications.
* This position will require working on-site M-F at our Carol Stream, IL facility. Relocation is not available for this role.
In this role you will:
• Mange external corrective actions that are received from our customers.
• Provide internal communications pertaining to all customer corrective actions received.
• Mange customer concern notifications and coordinate internal actions to resolve customer concerns.
• Lead all customer requested audits including;
• Leading the audit.
• Coordinating internally to meet the customer needs and expectations.
• Communicating audit results internally.
• Assigning owners to corrective actions identified during the audit.
• Manage First Article Inspection Requests including;
• Managing prioritization of First Article Inspection Requests.
• Coordinating with external inspection providers as needed.
• Maintain visual management of FAIR tracking.
• Generate PPAP submission packages.
• Generate control plans that meet the expectations of the customer print.
• Manage, dispute & generate all customer Returned Merchandise Authorizations.
• Statistical review of product data for issues, trends and improvements as needed.
• Travel as required to support and meet the needs of our customers.
• Continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience.
• Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
• Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently.
• Ability and willingness to travel as required.
• Support Quality activities as requested.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelors of Engineering degree from accredited institution.
• 1+ years experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics.

• No relocation assistance is available for this role. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Carol Stream, IL.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Skills in analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Proficiency in using software tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
• Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and new challenges in a dynamic work environment. Openness to learning new tools and methodologies.
• Experience with ISO9000 and product/process auditing techniques.
• Previous experience communicating and interacting with Engineering, Tool Room and Production as necessary to promote specification compliance and customer PPAP submission.
• Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
• Experience in electrical or electro- mechanical products .
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis .
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Experience in Quality Management System Requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/activities; results driven.
• Process-oriented and ability contribute to continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.
• Must exhibit a high level of motivation, sense of urgency, and energetic approach to job duties and requirements.
