The hours for this role are 6am-3:30pm
The hourly rate for this position is $30.00 per hour.

The Quality Engineering Technician I will have progressively more expertise and accountabilities but will work with the Quality Engineering Manager and Quality leadership to perform the following:
1. Support day to day quality tasks such as generating production quality metrics, documentation of issues, assembling customer data packs, support problem investigations and RCCA
2. Interpret and apply relevant Domestic and International Regulations and Industry Standards (e.g., ISO, AS, AMS, ASTM, etc.) when required as part of tasks.
3. Support regulatory and agency inspections, audits, investigations, and inquiries regarding the control and assessment of product design and manufacturing quality.
4. Review the adequacy and correctness of changes to Procedures, Documents, Component Specification, FMEAs, Control Plans, as applicable.
5. Assist with the timely disposition of non-conforming materials, maintain compliance to necessary regulatory requirements, and ensure adequacy of corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence, as applicable.
6. Participate in CAPA activities, including analysis of data and trends in complaints, supplier quality, nonconforming material, training effectiveness, and root causes analysis.
7. Work with Suppliers, Management, Engineers, and Manufacturing in the resolution of quality problems.

• This position requires maintenance of a close working relationship with Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Program Management, Manufacturing, Production, and other internal disciplines.
• Frequent personal contact with Customer, Government, Regulatory Agency, and Major Subcontractor Representatives requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, writing skills, tact, aggressiveness, and persuasiveness.
• Self-motivation with the ability to follow through on assignments with varying levels of supervision.
• The incumbent, under general supervision, will have latitude for routine decision making and action.
• Maintain compliance with contractual changes related to quality.
• Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing, Assembly and Test, Suppliers, Customers, and other Engineering disciplines in the resolution of fabrication, and field related problems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings - knowledge of GD&T is a plus.

Qualifications and Experience
• Education (at least one of the following)
• 4-year degree in a technical discipline
• 2-year degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 1 to 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
• High School diploma and 5 years related mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• This position requires access to technology, materials, software, or hardware that is controlled by export laws of the US. As such, you must be either a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Experience in problem solving techniques, 5 Why, 8D, FMEA, Control plans, APQP
