Protection & Control - Lead Training Specialist

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Service & Systems (EESS) Division is currently seeking a Protection & Control - Lead Training Specialist in Warrendale, PA to design, develop, and deliver instructor-led and Web-based training to Eaton employees and Eaton customers.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93,750 - $137,500 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Create, maintain, and update curricula, lesson plans, and classroom reference materials.
  • Apply knowledge of safe electrical work practices as described in National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) standard 70E and OSHA 29CFR1910 Subpart R and Subpart S.
  • Train others on the application of switchgear, transformers and motors in electrical power systems.
  • Collaborate with product-line managers and factory reliability engineers to develop the curricula for new training programs.
  • Assist Service Sales Engineers in investigating and implementing opportunities for the training of customers.
  • Prepare and conduct training events including, but not limited to, communicating the set-up, scheduling, travel, equipment and material needs to the training coordinator.
  • Conduct student evaluations and course evaluations, track course cost, and seek out cost savings and opportunities for course improvements.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with at least 3 years' experience performing field-services on industrial and commercial power-systems equipment OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years' experience performing field-services on industrial and commercial power-systems equipment
  • Classroom presentation & technical writing skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, set up demonstration equipment of various weight up to 40 lbs and move demonstration equipment on wheels weighing in excess of 40 lbs.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Warrendale, PA will be considered. Active-duty military members exempt from this geographical limitation.
