Project Support Engineer

What you'll do:

The primary responsibility of this position is to support the development and execution of Eaton's CPS and PDSS businesses, enabling the company to operate as a prime contractor for its expanding data center business in Japan.
CPS; Critical Power Solutions, including UPS, Battery system, Power SKID, Cooling Systems etc.
PDSS; Power Distribution Systems & Services including MV/LV assembles, LV busway, Transformers etc.

  • Coordinates project activities across internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of data center infrastructure projects, including ongoing projects and upcoming tender opportunities.
  • Assists in the preparation and submission of proposals in response to tender specifications, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial requirements.
  • Prepares and maintains project documentation, including schedules, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Works closely with Japan Country Manager and relevant team to aim for successful biddings.
  • Plans, organizes and oversees Service Engineers / Sub-Contractors at site implementation according to contract scope requirements.
  • Schedules and attends project discussions/meetings per project requirements.
  • Controls cost to ensure meeting project budget provision.
  • Attend project issues, work with factories / FAE to develop resolution/strategies for resolving issues effectively when required.
  • Manages test scripts of FAT and SAT within product line capability and customer expectation.
  • Facilitates and supports customers in engineering design/review, feasibility assessment, issues solving and populate EA PMO portal lesson learnt.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, major in electrical engineering.
  • 3+ years' related work experience.
  • Candidates must hold one of the following certifications, or equivalent practical experience and supervisory or managerial experience in the construction industry to fulfill the requirements for obtaining a Special Construction Business License for electrical contracting work: A. Class 1 Electrical Construction Management Engineer ★1級電気工事施工管理技士. B. Professional Engineer (PE): Electrical and Electronics / Comprehensive Technical Management (Electrical and Electronics) ★技術士: 電気電子 ・ 総合技術監理 「電気電子」
  • Auto-CAD skill.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure during conflict and deadlines.
  • Superb time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and be flexible.
  • Professionalism.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Japanese.
