Location: Bonn or Aachen Germany

Eaton is looking for a Project Manager to join a corporate research department in Aachen, Germany. This position will support research and development in the field of Energy Systems and Power Electronics and help the engineering team to deliver executional excellence in scope of the innovation projects related to electric vehicle charging infrastructure, energy storage, renewably power generation and many more.

About the research and the project:

Eaton Research Labs department is focused on development of new technologies for future Eaton products. We define, evaluate and test product concepts for a multitude of industrial applications from micro controller SW to megawatt-scale battery storage demonstrators. You will have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of projects and together with your colleagues from different technology fields and from various countries, you will Make what matters work."

The successful candidate will manage small to medium governmental funded R&D projects and oversee project schedule, scope and budget. She/he will work with both internal and external stakeholders, execute reporting for funding agencies (EU, DE) and drive new technology development, process improvement and financial performance through all project phases.

Job responsibilities:

  • Ensure successful project execution with deliverables on time, specs and budget
  • Administrative and technical reporting of German government funding /EU projects
  • Seek team input for effective and efficient resolution of challenging situation
  • Forecast and monitor resource and budget allocation, oversee procurement of material and services
  • Support the project teams by coordinating project reviews, preparing and publishing project reports
  • Fulfill administrative commitments to government agencies and communicate with external partners

We would like you to bring:

  • Bc. or Msc. in technical or economics field
  • Demonstrated experience in leading projects
  • Experience with working with universities and within gov. granted projects welcome
  • Project management training and certification advantageous
  • Fluent German is a must
