Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Project Engineer Technician.

The hourly rate for this position is 35 per hour.

What you'll do:

Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Remanufacturing Project Engineering Technician. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN location. The Project Engineering Technician will assist in aligning the customer product specifications to the manufacturing process, along with supporting the process debugging and training the operators to meet quality and production output levels for assigned projects.

What you'll do:
1) Support new project development as it transfers to pilot/production stage, interpreting critical customer engineering specifications for reman production, confirming product/quality traits are being met with new reman processes, and assisting with early production development builds and testing
2) Track sample performance, fallout, pilot build data analysis, support/coordinate early production
3) Train new assemblers through teaching, monitoring, assisting in using operator instructions, and collecting questions and improvement ideas for the product/process
4) Reports to Reman Business Manager, and works with Supervisors, Engineer, Team Leads, Quality Leads, and Assemblers
5) Support/lead continuous improvement projects - from a product/process development perspective

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications (must be non-comparative, objective, and relevant):
• High school diploma, along with vehicle related manufacturing technical product/process knowledge
• Experience with OEM Mechatronic and Electronics programs
• Previous Electronic and Mechatronic Remanufacturing experience (2-3 years)
• Ability to discuss technical feedback with Customer and Internal Engineers
• Will work with minimal supervision
• Ability to read product prints and quality documents
• Ability to use Microsoft Office Software
• No relocation benefit will be provided. All candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of Indianapolis., IN.

Preferred Qualifications (what an ideal candidate would possess):
• Engineering or Engineering Tech degree or equivalent

Skills:

• Ability to understand key product characteristics and how they interface with remanufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability
• Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers
• Ability to competently use Microsoft Office related software to support project activities are required
• Ability to work effectively with people with a strong level of professionalism
• Ability to lead and follow Eaton's Leadership Attributes
