What you'll do:
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is an on-site role based at our plant in Milton, Ontario and leads a team of 25+ mechanical assemblers and 2 team leads across two shifts.
Essential Functions Include:
Production Goals - You will be responsible for strategic deployment of the workforce to meet production goals and customer requirements in a manner that aligns with Eaton's safety, quality, inventory and employee engagement objectives.
Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) - You will be a role model for our EHS culture, ensuring EHS expectations are strictly upheld and risk reduction projects are executed to make work safer.
Drive Continuous Improvement - Participate in and lead activities like Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S+, and Standard Work events. Your efforts will contribute to Kaizen events and other Lean activities, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement.
Team Leadership - The Production Supervisor will lead by example and ensure a highly engaged, inclusive and team-oriented environment. They will ensure proper onboarding and training for employees in their department.

The ideal candidate will leverage expertise in manufacturing to ensure strategic deployment of people resources, drive continuous improvement and minimize inefficiencies. Effective communication, organization and time-management skills are essential. Being able to multi-task is very important, as is having high aptitude for technical problem-solving. Strong assertive leadership abilities and excellent soft skills to mentor, motivate and manage employees and to inspire change will be crucial to this role. We are looking for candidates who are diverse in their backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our team.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future
- No relocation is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within an 80 km radius of Milton, ON will be considered for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrical manufacturing and/or a built-to-order custom manufacturing experience.
- Highly knowledgeable of advanced mechanical assembly techniques and tooling.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodology and problem-solving tools.
- Experience with Oracle ERP system
