Product Line Manager - Project Services

Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems division is hiring a Product Line Manager for Project Services. This position requires up to 30% travel.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Eaton Corporation has an opening for a Product Line Manager (PLM) within the Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) Division for the Project Services product line with approximately $200M in annual revenue. Responsibilities include product line strategy and planning, pricing and negotiations (proposal team), segment strategies, promotions, training, partnerships, and action plans that ensure EESS achieves our revenue and margins for the assigned products. The PLM will collaborate deeply with operations and sales team to achieve strategic growth deliverables.

What you'll do:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Profit and loss accountability for the product line to meet revenue and margin objectives.
  • Lead the planning process for the product line, including the alignment with the operations, sales, and finance, presenting strategy to key stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment.
  • Execute plan for product go-to-market that is informed by market trends, competitors' positioning, portfolio gaps, and underpenetrated segments/geographies, presenting out progress and results.
  • Define and effectively communicate the product line offering, target market, and segment strategies, acting as a fierce advocate for the business to grow mindshare and generate demand.
  • Drive division and Sector strategic growth initiatives within the product line such as Energy Transition including turnkey Microgrid, Hydro-electric modernization, Synchronous Condenser, Distribution Substation design & build, etc. across relevant segments- Utility, Industrial, Data Center, and Government.
  • Advocate for investments, with ownership of business opportunity case development and results.
  • Oversee proposal team to develop and execute strategy for continuous improvement of resource efficiency, proposal turnaround, opportunity conversion, and decision-making effectiveness.
  • Set strategic direction on role-relevant digital tools, processes and metrics that improve ease of doing business and meet revenue, profitability targets.
  • Lead the planning process for the product line, including the alignment with the operations, sales, and finance, presenting strategy to key stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment.
  • Work with MarCom team to support the promotion of services; including traditional promotional materials as well as on-line and multimedia assets.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing direct reports
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in technical marketing, sales, strategic planning, operations or product line management
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution
• 5 years of experience in market analysis, product launches, and budget management.
• 5 years of experience in providing sales/field support and customer/industry presentations
• 3 years of experience leading EESS Field Service Representative operations
• Experience working with product configuration tools (e.g. Bid Manager take-offs)

• Must be comfortable working in matrix organization to drive collaboration and decision making.
• Must be able to communicate effectively at a variety of different organizational levels.
• Ability to synthesize disparate and complex information and simplify into effective presentations and recommendations to facilitate decision making with senior leaders.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent quantitative analysis skills, especially developing business opportunity cases.
• Ability to collaborate with international businesses, colleges, partners, & customers.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $158249.97 - $232099.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
