Eaton's EPG CHD HQ division is currently seeking a Product Line Manager - NEC ETO Solutions. This is a hybrid role for our Syracuse, NY or Houston, TX facility. Relocation is not provided for this position.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of the PD&C global NEC Engineered-to-Order (ETO) product line strategy ($15M+ annual revenue) including: pricing strategy, quote and lead-time process improvement, opportunity pipeline management, custom product development and ETO marketing programs, to drive profitable sales and margin growth for products within hazardous and harsh industrial applications. In a player-coach capacity, this customer-facing role will both directly supervise, and personally contribute to, NEC ETO quotation activities. This role will also serve as the PLM for the NEC Switchrack offering, accountable for driving profitable long-term growth in this category.

In this role you will:

  • Manage virtual P&L for NEC ETO product portfolio to exceed financial commitments
  • Manage day-to-day custom quote requests, lead-times, and custom solution pricing
  • Directly supervise ETO quotation team, ensuring that quote KPI & financial commitments are consistently met
  • Recommend, develop, and pursue long term growth strategy and objectives for Crouse-Hinds ETO products
  • Identify and recommend new custom products or technologies for commercialization and/or private branding
  • Prepare pricing and proposals for custom products within assigned product families
  • Recommend and initiate changes in current products and pricing necessary to increase sales & profits, in accordance with corporate goals and policy
  • Regularly solicit voice-of-customer and closely monitor competitor & code/standards activities, to defend and expand NEC ETO market share
  • Evaluate product success in the marketplace through internal reports and direct contacts with field sales, customers and distributors. Recommend adjustments to marketing and sales efforts when/where necessary
  • Establish & administer product pricing strategy to obtain optimum volume and market position
  • Recommend and develop ETO marketing strategies and programs along with promotional materials to increase market share of existing products
  • Resolve product inconsistencies arising from manufacturing and engineering inquiries, changes in vendor supplies, and customer complaints
  • Drive profitable growth and expand market share for the NEC Switchrack offering, in a PLM capacity

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university, or relevant Engineering Technology diploma.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience within the electrical equipment mfg. industry
  • Minimum 2 years ETO experience, in a Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or Operations capacity.
  • No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY OR Houston, TX to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Licensed Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist (electrical strongly preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of harsh and hazardous electrical products market, and associated codes & standards
  • 5+ years of product management or technical sales experience
  • 2+ years of formal Leader-of-People experience
  • LSS Yellow or Green Belt; Experience leading front-end process improvement (BPI) projects and proven ability to deliver results via influence vs. formal authority
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted, driver's license; Ability to travel internationally
