What you'll do:

The Product Data Translation Team Coordinator is responsible for supporting, organizing and monitoring translation projects end-to-end, interacting with all parts involved in the translation process, coordinating resource allocation, monitoring external translation spend, reporting on the progress to stakeholders and business users. The Product Data Translation Team Coordinator plays a key role that fosters interdepartmental collaboration and has management responsibility for a team of technical translation interns - ensuring they have the support, guidance and direction required to deliver on-time, high-quality work.

  • Analyze incoming product data translation projects against translation memory, identifying the most effective strategy to complete the translation process end-to-end within determined timelines, considering team capacity, business priorities, cost savings, and efficiency
  • Follow up and monitor submissions from preflight to completion, ensuring all submissions are processed within the correct workflows, reducing delays and backlog, and reporting overall progress to involved stakeholders and management
  • Coordinate the internal team's capacity in accordance with business expectations and priorities, identifying opportunities for saving cost and validating quotes from external vendors
  • Create internal quotes and facilitate the quote approval phase for workflows not directly managed by the team
  • Collaborate with web publishing teams, divisions, and master data teams to ensure translated product data is available just-in-time for publication and update of webpages and connected applications
  • Provide support and guidance to new and existing users of the translation management system, offering training on the use of the tool if needed
  • Collaborate with IT teams and translation management system support to report and resolve technical issues connected to product data translation
  • Guide the intern team towards achieving their goals
  • Participate in the hiring and training process of the intern team. Develop team members through coaching, feedback, and skill improvement. Offer guidance on career paths after the internship
  • Handle team-related administrative tasks such as shift planning and timesheet approval
  • Provide feedback and proactively work towards continuous improvement of the translation process

Qualifications:

  • University degree
  • Solid work experience in the field of translation projects

Skills:

  • Experience in translation processes and workflows, project management knowledge
  • English language knowledge C1 level, additional languages are a plus
  • Translation Management Systems (e.g Globallink), Content Management Systems and Digital Asset Management (e.g Adobe Experience Manager), Wordfast, MemoQ, Trados or other CAT tools, Machine Translation.
  • Product Information Management (PIM) systems, technical knowledge (electrical product knowledge is a big advantage but not a must).
  • Attention to detail, communication skills, leadership skills, ability to be self-directed, excellent organisational and problem solving skills. Ability to work under pressure. Continuous improvement mindset.
