Procurement Manager

Richmond, VA

Eaton's Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure division is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team in Richmond, VA. As a Procurement Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution for all procurement programs for the Richmond manufacturing operations including procurement strategy, sourcing, supplier development and relations, inventory management, cost out, and buyer team management. Relocation assistance is available!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500 - $134,200 a year.

  • Lead a direct team of four buyers across the Richmond manufacturing locations facilitating a Zero Incident Safety Culture (ZISC), Eaton's code of ethics, Eaton leadership model, Eaton business system (EBS) principles, and other Eaton leadership programs.
  • Create and sustain excellence in all procurement activities to support dynamic manufacturing demands by collaborating cross functionally with material management, scheduling, production and other departments.
  • Champion cross-functional warehouse improvement events and projects using continuous improvement framework (CIF) elements, structured problem solving, employee involvement and ad hoc issue resolution to identify and remediate causes of errors impacting performance.
  • Build organizational capability through employee development, training and coaching across warehouse and manufacturing employee groups. Develop self through skill building and personal development.
  • Ensure accurate financial and metrics reporting through disciplined transaction processes throughout reporting periods and by leading physical inventory process on the floor.
  • Support business-wide initiatives, communications and improvement projects as a senior member of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a management role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain management
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 5 - 8 years experiences in warehouse, materials, supply chain or logistics management preferred
  • Experience with Lean Planning Concepts preferred
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems preferred
  • Experience working in an engineer to order electrical equipment manufacturing environment
  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP, CLTD)

Skills:

  • Excellent communications skills - verbal, written and electronic

  • Strong Computer / systems skills - Microsoft office products, ERP / MRP
