Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Press Operator.

The hours for this role are 7am-3pm

The hourly rate for this position is $30.79 per hour.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for issuance of tools and materials in and out of the tool crib
  • Responsible for issuing and collecting gauges and tools that are on calibration control in and out of the tool crib. Responsible for updating calibration tracking software.
  • Responsible for appropriately packaging/unpackaging tools and gauges to and from outside vendors.
  • Able to calibrate standard measuring equipment, i.e. verniers, micrometers, gauge pins, master rings/disks, etc.
  • Will order materials, consumables, tooling, gauges, etc. needed on the shop floor through computer-based method (e.g. Ariba).
  • Must be able to navigate through computer-based ordering software and identify correct tools/materials to order per shop requirements.
  • Will receive in (physically and digitally) items that were ordered and stock in correct locations in tool crib.
  • Will be responsible for organizing and maintaining a clean and orderly tool crib.
  • Will work to a "2- bin" system or "supermarket" methodology to ensure shop floor does not run out of required items.
  • Maintain stock levels appropriate to facilitate continuous manufacturing operations.
  • Stock levels and inventory data may be in Excel format and needed to be transacted/verified on daily basis.
  • Keep track of expiration dates and discard/re-order as needed.
  • Will sort and dispose of consumable items in proper bins and locations (e.g. lithium vs alkaline batteries).
  • Mark tools and cutters as required. Maintain shop equipment and parts in clean and orderly condition at all times.
  • Report any unusual conditions to the supervisor.
  • Able to destroy and sort scrap material based on Quality requirements.
  • Observe prescribed safety practices and company rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee
  • Must have more than 6 montsh of experience
  • Requires the use of shop mathematics and use of complicated drawings, charts and measuring
