What you'll do:
This position is responsible for defining, designing, and communicating a shared architectural vision for a multi-channel order backbone - blending EDI, e-commerce, and manual order entry methods. Your deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and ECC's QTC modules, combined with AI-forward thinking will drive a scalable, future proof, enterprise-grade solution. This position will primarily support the e-commerce channel along with a focus on self-service automation opportunities across the enterprise.
You will collaborate with Agile teams to consider solutions, validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and converge on a solution.
Finally, the System Architect will work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions that are aligned to the broader architecture guardrails.

- Collaborate within a complex order management ecosystem using SAP S/4 and ECC QTC modules, ensuring robust coverage of order intake, validation, routing, fulfillment, and lifecycle management.
- Focus on the transition of front end systems to back end order management processing and map out the integration and downstream order orchestration rules/routing.
- Troubleshoot and provide guidance on the end-to-end order data flow from customers to various back end ERP solutions.
- Partner with engineering teams to leverage AI capabilities - intelligent routing, predictive exception handling, and automation in order orchestration.
- Assist and provide guidance for modern enterprise level integration frameworks leveraging real-time APIs, and various middleware technologies.
- Oversee and provide guidance to SAP functional analysts and SAP developers for any required development work.
- Enable a continuous delivery pipeline through proper design guidelines
- Define and communicate system interfaces, data structures, data storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation concepts, and deployment approaches
- Provide technical oversight and encourage security, quality, and automation
- Effectively negotiate with the business to ensure nonfunctional work (e.g. patching, platform upgrade etc.) is properly prioritized and worked on to reduce the accumulation of technical debt over time
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- 10+ years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record of shipping high quality products
Skills:
- Extensive experience utilizing best practices in software engineering
- Expert level experience working with SAP Order Management - especially S/4 HANA, ECC QTC, and SD/OTC modules.
- Demonstrated ability to implement enterprise level order routing and orchestration, and architect complex data schemas.
- Preferred, Salesforce experience in order submission either CPQ or Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
- Preferred, experience designing or implementing AI-driven enhancements throughout the order management process.
- Preferred, experience working with Kafka event streaming and leading enterprise-level integration migrations.
- Extensive experience developing enterprise grade, highly scalable, highly performant applications and/or distributed systems
- Expert level understanding of software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts
- Expert level understanding of DevSecOps, CI, and CD principles from code check-in through to deployment
- Extensive experience with modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
- Extensive experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain and present technical concepts to all levels of the organization
- Comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work colaboratively on a technical team
- Patience and empathy when working with and coaching developers and testers
- Extensive experience working with diverse, global cultures, organizations and teams
