Operator I - 3rd Shift

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for the set up and operation of various machines to produce quality parts based on pre-determined specifications.

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece or setup requirements
• Sets up, starts, and observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and troubleshoots or adjusts machine controls as required
• Operates a variety of machines as directed by supervisor or lead
• Completes changeovers and material feed-through
• Completes first piece inspections and machine guarding checklists
• Uses gauges and calipers to inspect and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). • Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of various measuring instruments and ability to read blueprints.
