Operations Strategy Leader

Eaton Corporation's Electrical sector is currently seeking an Operations Strategy Leader for the Commercial Products and Assemblies (CPA) division. The position is based in Charlotte, NC.

What you'll do:

Reporting to the Vice President Operations, CPA division, this person will be responsible for developing the end to end Manufacturing strategy for the business. This person will also drive manufacturing optimization as well as generating and managing complex transformation projects. These projects include transitions, acquisition integrations, operations transformation, and strategic initiatives. The Operations Strategy Leader will also develop and implement manufacturing innovation and Industry 4.0 roadmaps, core manufacturing technology and drive optimization as a foundation for the manufacturing strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Set overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations consistent with the Eaton Business System and our Leadership Model
• lead the division in the identification and execution of operations footprint optimization activities
• Assist the organization with the development and implementation of manufacturing strategies and footprint optimization to align and support the long term strategy of the business
• Perform financial modeling for projects to assist in transitions scenarios.
• Develop and improve the overall manufacturing capacity mapping and improve utilization via specific KPI monitoring
• Develop and drive investment plans for the manufacturing technology in line with our manufacturing strategy, including Industry 4.0.
• Own the assets investment plan and execution, ensuring selected investments generate productivity and efficiency for the organization
• Advocate alignment with product line management, R&D, commercial teams and other functional strategies.
• Lead the transition project teams responsible for process and product analyses, characterization methods, and hidden factory capture. Transitions teams will involve team members from across multiple locations in Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Logistics, Sales, Marketing
• Ensure projects are executed and completed on time, within budget, with associated cost savings and no customer impact
• Use Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles to implement corrective and improvement actions
• Lead the development and implementation of an effective Management Operating System to drive Manufacturing Strategy performance management.

Position Criteria:
• Demonstrated ability to assess and build organizational capability
• Well-developed strategic thinking, and a working knowledge of business activities
• Capable of leading large-scale project work utilizing project management skills and tools
• Ability to operate a wide latitude for actions and recommendations which support the business
• Ability to lead effectively in a matrix organization, in virtual teams (across different locations), and cross-cultural environments

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience in operations, manufacturing or industrial engineering
• Experience leading people by influence and across locations
• Experience in successful implementation of complex transition / footprint projects
• Authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
• Lean Certification
• Strong Six Sigma process improvement knowledge and experience
• Experience developing a strategic vision, business case and roadmap

Education:
• An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required
• An Advanced degree is preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role is $131249.97 - $192499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
