North America Retail Account Executive - Golf Pride

Eaton's IS GOLF Pride US division is currently seeking a North America Retail Account Executive - Golf Pride. This is a Hybrid-Remote role, based at our facility in Pinehurst, NC. Relocation benefits are available from within the United States!

The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Primary Function:

Under the direct supervision of the Head of North America Retail Sales, this position is responsible for supporting the North American retail sales strategy at key customers at North America retail for Golf Pride.

This individual will effectively support sales strategies at the retail store and green grass level to drive sales growth in the channel. Retail is defined as direct national retailers, independent retailers, and green grass accounts supported by distribution. The individual will strive to help facilitate new business and increase market share and hit sales target goals at assigned national accounts and key distributors while collaborating closely with the Head of NA Sales to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to achieve profit plan and strategic plan goals. The position demands sales trend analysis, creativity/involvement in retail pull through programs, store level inventory management at key accounts, and strategic personal interaction with key contacts all while showcasing superior customer service at the level Golf Pride is known for in the market. This individual will professionally represent Golf Pride and all its products sold to the assigned channel partners.

This candidate will focus on two main areas:
1. Organic Volume Growth (Direct and Indirect accounts)
2. Relationship connectivity with accounts and partners that support our brand

What you'll do:

  • Takes ownership of direct account responsibilities with key retailers and distributors while developing a go to market strategy to champion sales growth of the Golf Pride brand while achieving strategic alignment to Golf Pride opportunities and initiatives.
  • Analyze markets, customers, and competitors to recognize opportunities, potential risks, and areas requiring improvement and enhanced brand positioning. Conduct data analysis to determine sales trends, market share, and operating profit with the intention to identify opportunities to grow sales, strengthen market share, and increase profitability.
  • Drives the implementation strategy and execution for retail pull through programs at retail and green grass that influences share and category growth.
  • Functions as a customer advocate and bring voice of the customer to Golf Pride leadership, the commercial team, and other functional teams to continue to advance product offerings, in store merchandising solutions, enhance reliability, and impact new product development.
  • Forecast accountability is critical in this role. This candidate will know their customers, understand sales trends, and work closely with the demand team to plan out demand and forward looking plans for alignment and connectivity for the business.
  • Ensures stores and green grass facilities have proper merchandising tools and supporting materials. Acts as the face of Golf Pride at these accounts leading the communication of promotions, new product characteristics, and other sell through activities to drive awareness to leverage the Golf Pride brand. Training and product knowledge meetings will be required as needed.
  • Work closely with Product Managers to understand trends in the market to support future NPD. Leverages store level relationships within the assigned customer base to obtain business intelligence to properly support new product direction.
  • Support the Golf Pride brand and retail channel with working knowledge of the SPS system for retail sales data along with acquiring sales data from channel partners. Ability to break down sales data from these reports and utilize as a supporting tool when speaking with internal teams and the retailer on product issues such as sell through and inventory awareness is critical for this role.
  • Interact with other internal functional groups to facilitate the execute of programs/merchandising solutions to enhance the Golf Pride brand at selected partners.
  • Manage development fund budget to maximize ROI within assigned accounts.
  • The ideal candidate is passionate about the game of golf - and has a proven track-record of: 1. driving volume growth, 2. strategic planning & execution, and 3. effectively analyzing sell-in and sell-thru data to inform decision making at the local and corporate level to maximize sales opportunities.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• 3+ years of sales and or marketing experience with business wins and experience of negotiations
• 1+ year of experience with large retail accounts and distribution experience, product promotion, and merchandising management experience
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred/Additional Specialized Knowledge:

• Account management experience
• Sales trend analysis
• MBA from accredited institution
• Demonstrates deep understanding of the industry and the organization (customer focus)
• Understanding of specific channel dynamics
• Experience with large retail customers and green grass accounts
• Strong analytical skills to review sales-related information and trends to accurately and effectively plan customer growth opportunities
• Experience in consumer goods, connection to the game of golf.

• Willing to travel up to 50% domestically and in Canada as business dictates
