MES Process Owner - Data Governance

As part of Eaton's Operating For Growth transformation, we are seeking a highly motivated expert contributor to join our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation as MES Process Owner - to help map current status, design and drive implementation of a future global standard best in class manufacturing processes across the Enterprise.

Eaton will be deploying a common, scalable MES system across the enterprise focusing initial on roughly 50 sites (80/20 focus sites) that will be used to drive visibility and eliminate our hidden factories, eliminate heavy manual work and dependency on tribal knowledge. It will drive an end to end digital strategy which will ultimately improve the decision making process based on real time data, allowing a better usage of our people's intellectual property to drive continuous improvement on our sites towards achieving manufacturing excellence.

This is a remote role from within the United States.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

The MES Process Owner will be responsible for defining future process steps, associated information flow, and associated roles and responsibilities. They will be responsible of assessing site readiness for implementation and creating an executable, time-based roadmap deployment plan to ensure a strong linkage between all 11 MES capabilities and each business's needs based on their manufacturing archetypes (e.g., MTS, MTO, CTO, ETO). This role will collaborate closely with SCM, Operations, IT, and site teams to ensure the necessary organizational skills are in place. Additionally, they will work with site business teams on all organizational changes, focusing on achieving and maintaining data harmonization across all sites to ensure long-term consistency and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support the selection of right solution to address Eaton business requirements driving an end-to-end data strategy together with IT architects, ensuring integration and adherence to industry best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the chosen solution aligns with business goals and industry standards.

• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPI) to drive efficiency and effectiveness of data governance.
• Define the need for process training, ensure stakeholders are aware of their role in the process, and proper knowledge is assimilated by each business and/or region.
• Help define and govern MES data integrity, completeness and quality of data for successful MES deployment & utilization across Eaton various businesses. Current data resides in multiple system and locations (data ""puddles""), needing to be governed and maintained more systematically to allow MES to operate efficiently, maximizing the value delivered to the business.
• Acts as a process lead for MES data integrity working with all other MES Process Owners, IT and MES Business Leaders and data stewards across regions and businesses. Escalates risks and acts as gate keeper for data - lead data cleansing and enrichment with coordination with site leads. Manage data and data governance continuous improvement initiatives.
• Active member of Global Data Governance Office representing MES. Ensures data standardization as much as possible, refines and improves data quality, documents and governs policies around data collection & usage together with MES Business Leaders and other Process Owners.
• Partners with MES Business Leaders and data stewards to understand data pain points, troubleshoot complex data issues and propose long term solutions aiming maximum global data standardization.
• Develops playbooks, best practices and lessons learned sharing across the enterprise to drive smooth process implementation.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum of 5 progressive experience in Master Data Management.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred qualifications:
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes as well as the role of key support functions in the process (e.g. materials, manufacturing engineering, quality, maintenance) in a complex industrial manufacturing environment with multiple manufacturing architypes (e.g. make to stock, make to order, configure to order, engineering to order)
• Experience with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Materials or Maintenance would be preferred
• Experience leading people
• Experience driving change implementation
• Deep functional understanding of enterprise master data, ERP systems, supply chain and operations systems
• Experience on developing processes and procedures to assure, and sustain data integrity and accuracy (data governance)
• Knowledge on systems/data integration and/or experience on API development
• Experience in project management, preferably with Agile Methodology
• Working understanding of other MES capabilities and their interfaces / interdependencies.

• Up to 25% travel required.
