Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Lead.
What you'll do:
This position will lead all activities related to Process design/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering/Maintenance of both equipment and facilities, ensuring optimal operational conditions and full compliance with safety and environmental guidelines from both the government and the corporation. Interface closely with support functions, including MESH, Production, Materials Management, Design Engineering, OPEX and IT.
Job Responsabilities:
- Leads all capital projects related with equipment and building infrastructure.
- Works closely with cross-functional resources to execute projects - Information Technology, Operational Excellence, Production, Quality, Facilities
- Lead Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians to assure to develop and deploy robust manufacturing processes that assure high quality products.
- Work as liaison to divisional advanced manufacturing leaders and suppliers and in alignment with standard practices developed by the ESA Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organization.
- Align Industry 4.0 project objectives to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinates the design, construction, installation, commissioning, inspection, repair and maintenance of building systems and equipment.
- Train key plant personnel on operations and maintenance of deployed systems to ensure successful adoption and achieve improvement objectives.
- Develop knowledge & expertise in leading automation technologies.
- Plans regulatory and non-regulatory annual maintenance events that allow for infrastructure continuity such as electrical sub stations, compressors, electrical boards, and climate systems.
- Lead and administer the Pro-Launch process for all new product introduction activities. Assure that all phase gates expectations are fully achieved.
- Drive productivity improvement projects.
- Drive Eaton Lean Six Sigma deployment.
- Manage warranty activities, focusing on process improvements that attack root-causes of poor quality.
- Actively promote the development and deployment of improved manufacturing process that positively impact quality, productivity, profitability, and market share.
- Lead cost-out activities.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as manager of people in manufacturing locations.
Preferred Qualification:
- Knowledge/ experience with specifying, developing, commissioning, and upkeep of building systems, tools, machinery and automation equipment.
- Experience in finance, material control and quality.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish).
- Experience in controls engineering, programming, automation, and robotics.
- Manufacturing system experience (MES, warehousing or related systems).
- Understanding of machine connectivity, communication protocols & data management.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure & system integration.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing & Six Sigma.
- Expertise in program management.
