What you'll do:

Eaton's Aerospace group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in the Bangalore, India location to support New Product Development activity. Key member within a cross functional team. Responsible for manufacturing engineering support related to new product development and transition activities associated with the Bangalore plant. Develop and support hardware utilizing both new and existing equipment, techniques, and processes. Provide on-floor training and ongoing evaluation of manufacturing processes within given project scopes.

"• Collaborate with focus factory High Performance Work Teams to troubleshoot processes and support on-time delivery of new program hardware.
• Assess suspect hardware for conformance to required specifications, generate rework instructions, participate in structured problem-solving activities (8Ds), and implement corrective actions to continuously improve production processes.

• Create and maintain work instructions to clearly define required manufacturing processes.
• Provide design for manufacturing recommendations during product ideation and perform manufacturability reviews of assigned product drawings, prior to introduction within the production process.
• Design, model, and draft tooling required to support hardware deliveries utilizing Catia V5-6R2017.
• Work with suppliers and procurement team to purchase equipment, tooling, and supplies as required.
• Support manufacturing deliverables and project advancement through a structured management approach (AGILE / PROLaunch) as part of an integrated product team.
• Assess, manage, and implement process (MCOs) changes to existing manufacturing processes associated with new product development.
• Design, execute, and document (MTRs) manufacturing related experiments to quantify process behavior, capability, etc.
• Opportunity to gain exposure to and work with many teams from manufacturing operations, program management, design engineering, sales/marketing, division leadership team, and directly with Aerospace OEM's.
• Innovation with documented invention disclosures leading to the possible application for US patents by corporate legal department

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical
Seven or more years of experience in a technical role supporting manufacturing or other related engineering function in Manufacturing

Skills:

"• Equipment and tooling design experience with detailed understanding of drafting and GD&T practices.
• Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Hands on process experience; (e.g., additive manufacturing, machining, forming, welding, heat treatment, acceptance testing)
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from production associates to the leadership team.
• Familiar with AIAG or equivalent tools for Measurement System Analysis, Capability Analysis, SPC, FMEA, and PPAP."
Ability to communicate with global stakeholders, shop floor employees, Collaborating with team and achieve results. Should be a learner willing to learn and execute faster.
