Eaton's ES AMER Sector Integration division is currently seeking a Manager, Public Relations.

Reporting to the Director of the Brand and Thought Leadership Center of Excellence (CoE) in the Global Marketing Communications organization, the Manager, Public Relations will lead Eaton's public relations and thought leadership efforts and have responsibility to help identify and bridge global and regional earned media opportunities. Working closely with segment business leaders, Global Marketing, Corporate Communications, Public Affairs and regional field and product marketing teams, this role will help Eaton to develop and execute public relations and marketing communications plans aligned to our growth strategy. Specifically, this leader will be responsible for regional PR execution for the Electrical Sector in the Americas, coordinating closely with EMEA and APAC regional teams to ensure local execution aligns with business goals and global brand objectives.

By establishing a pipeline of high-value content that communicates Eaton's unique point of view through business and trade media this role will play an essential role in driving awareness of the Eaton brand, positioning Eaton as thought leaders across key market segments. Critical to the success of this role is proven experience of campaign management, media relations and public relations best practice, including common processes and governance, adoption of standard tools and a deep understanding of measurement to deliver consistent and impactful earned media programming globally.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

Job Responsibilities
• Support the development and implementation of a global earned media marketing communications strategy that positions Eaton as a thought leader on key industry trends (e.g. energy transition, sustainability, electrification, digitalization) and segment-specific topics. Align PR plans with overall business and brand goals, ensuring all regions and business segments are supported and delivering consistent messages across markets.
• Working with key subject matter experts and communication and marketing teams, lead the development and local execution of Electrical Sector Americas earned media, while coordinating with EMEA and APAC regional field marketing communications teams to facilitate local media deployments aligned with the global plan.
• Identify opportunities to build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier business and trade media journalists, editors and industry influencers globally. Deepen engagement with targeted media by educating them on Eaton's innovations and perspectives, enhancing media coverage and understanding of the brand.
• Serve as one of the primary Eaton contacts for reactive and proactive media inquiries, while guiding regional PR managers in handling local media interactions, crisis response and proactive story pitching.
• Source content opportunities and be responsible for core asset development and editing of external facing PR materials including press releases, media briefs, byline and editorial, speeches, briefing documents and talking points for Eaton leaders. Ensure all content aligns with Eaton's brand voice globally. Apply excellent storytelling and writing skills to maintain quality and consistency in all public-facing content.
• Partner with Eaton's Government Relations and Public Affairs teams to provide earned media communications support for key policy initiatives and advocacy efforts, including regulatory and industry issues.
• Identify and coordinate Eaton's participation in strategic industry events and thought leadership forums around the world. Working with regional field marketing teams, plan press events, media briefings and executive speaking engagements in key markets.
• Responsible for execution in the Americas. Serve as an on-site media relations lead at events as needed, managing press attendance, facilitating interviews and ensuring Eaton's spokespeople are well-prepared and on-message through coaching and focused preparation.

• Support Eaton's onboarding and engagement strategy with the global agency of record. Ensure that global strategic programs and campaigns are effectively executed and measured at the regional level. Foster strong partnerships with agency partners worldwide to extend Eaton's media reach and influence.
• Develop and refine best-practice processes for managing, reporting and measuring earned media and PR marketing activities across the enterprise. Leverage Eaton's marketing tools (such as content management and media monitoring platforms like Workfront and Agility PR, and analytics tools like Power BI) to drive efficiency, collaboration and insight-sharing among global and regional teams.
• Develop and implement core measurement capabilities to track media coverage and PR campaign performance. Provide regular performance reports and use data-driven insights to refine strategies and demonstrate the value of PR initiatives to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
-Minimum of 10 years of experience in public relations, or communications

-Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
-Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Journalism, Business, or Marketing)
