Maintenance & Facility Technician 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Maintenance & Facility Technician 2nd Shift. The core hours are 3:30pm to 12:45am. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. What you'll do:

The Maintenance and Facilities Technician will support the OPEX and EHS departments by helping to drive continuous improvement in the electrical assembly operations. This achieved by maintaining the facility and production equipment on its best working condition, completing PMs and minimizing downtime. The position will support operations, and capital assets (equipment, machinery, building, etc.).

In this function, you will:

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment, including but not limited to lifts, lift tables, cranes, workstations, fans, motors, gates, doors, pumps, pressure vessels.
• Read and interpret technical diagrams such as electrical, hydraulic schematics and PLCs.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair equipment using a systematic process to identify root cause (electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC).
• Mechanical and general facilities repairs, painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, roofing.
• Support daily plant operations through effective troubleshooting and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control system adhering to all policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Maximize equipment reliability by effectively performing assigned work orders and PMs. Ensure complete and effective repairs. Proactively initiate work orders based on PM observations.
• Complete work on Continuous Improvement activities related to the facility as needed (5S+, TPM, Set Up Reduction, etc.)
• Assist with outside contractors on various plant projects and repairs.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Complete/maintain maintenance logs and associated documentation.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• Advanced skills and experience in one or more of the following: Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, PLC troubleshooting and repair.

• Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
• Dexterity for and ability to operate equipment, machinery, and computers (including Windows and MSOffice as well as industrial software)
• Familiarity with DC and AC power up to three phase 480 V.
