Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor.

What you'll do:

Job Summary
The Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor leads all the activities associated with the design, modification, construction, commissioning and maintenance of manufacturing facilities as well as the installation, modification, commissioning and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal operational conditions and assets availability on daily basis and provide support for full compliance with safety and environmental guidelines from both the government and the corporation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the team in charge of production equipment maintenance and facilities maintenance activities related with buildings, offices and services.. Responsibility is to keep them in safe and good conditions and ensure availability for plant operations.
  • Supervise activities for predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance for manufacturing equipment (presses up to 1000 ton, press breakes, spot welders, automatic bending, palletizers, powder paint line, assembly lines, etc.).
  • Supervise activities for building, electrical installations, compressed air, gas, water, sanitary, water treatment, HVAC, fire protection and related items.
  • Coordinate and follow the preventive and predictive maintenance plan along with all the necessary routines, procedures and documentation.
  • Coordinate capital projects for new equipment and facilities, modifications and improvements.
  • Keep maintenance budget in control and propose cost saving activities.
  • Implements and promotes a culture of safe work environment and risk prevention.
  • Lead the maintenance technicians team and coach them to achieve high levels of satisfaction and quality on their work.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams in short, medium, and long-term projects.
  • Works with the manufacturing engineering team to manage the plant's layout.
  • Supervise and coordinate projects with contractors.
  • Participate in management of capital projects.
  • Follows all regulations from EHS department.
  • Keep clean and order in all maintenance areas.
  • Contribute to the accreditation of the plant under the ISO 9001 standards.

Qualifications:

Education level required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

Years and area of experience required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in facilities & equipment maintenance and technicians supervision.
  • Experience in manufacturing buildings facilities & equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in new constructions and facilities modifications. Greenfield experience is a plus.
  • Experience in new equipment introduction and modifications.
  • Experience supervising projects with contractors.
  • Experience on management of capital projects.
  • Experience leading maintenance technicians team.
  • Experience in Safety assessment acceptance previous to start of production

Technical knowledge

  • Knowledge for layouts and installations drawings interpretation.
  • Knowledge for equipment and installations drawings interpretation (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic).
  • Knowledge in low voltage and medium voltage electrical systems, substations, control panels, power factor and single line diagrams.
  • Good understanding of ""Código de Red"" from CFE.
  • Knowledge in pneumatic installations, variable speed compressors and air dryers.
  • Knowledge in hydraulic and sanitary installations, cistern, sewage, potable water and wastewater treatment.
  • Proficient in industrial air conditioning systems (HVAC).
  • Knowledge in equipment integration and sequence automation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements by Mexican law (regulations, environment, NOM's, STPS).
  • Fluent in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office toolset.
