Machinist - 1st Shift
Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machinist - 1st Shift to join our team in Reno, NV!
The core hours are 6 am - 2:30 pm.
The hourly rate for this position is $34.20 per hour.

In this function you will be:
• Able to determine and assess damage to existing tooling and what steps necessary to repair tooling.
• Able to determine if Die is dull or cracked and needs to be resharpened or repaired.
• Able to determine if the poor quality of a product is the result of a tooling problem, or a setup problem.
• Able to Perform Die Changeovers for different products.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years machining experience.
- Minimum 3 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Skills:
- Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for checking dimensions.
- Must be skilled in the operation of lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format.
- Ability to stand continuously during workshift with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.
