Machine Repair A

Jackson, MS

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Machine Repair A.

The hourly rate for this position is 20.40 per hour. The hours for second shift is as follows: 3:30 pm - 12:00 am.

What you'll do:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform mechanical repairs on CNC, NC and conventional manufacturing equipment in all areas of the facility.
  • Perform trouble shooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Assembly and installation of new machines and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, I.E. replacing mechanical components, servomotors, valves, piping, etc., as necessary to ensure equipment preventative maintenance schedules are performed.
  • Perform related TPM and/or 5S program maintenance related functions as required.
  • Use of measuring equipment to determine machine fits and positioning accuracies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair fork lift trucks and related equipment.
  • Perform duties as assigned to ensure the continued operation and timely repair of equipment which would include making requests for repair parts, maintaining inventories of repair parts and rebuilding units for repair parts inventory.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and a clean work area.
  • Report on job progress and log hours in the maintenance tracking system.
  • Other duties as required within the job classification and duties of lower classifications.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of three (3) years prior work experience in an industrial or military setting performing maintenance on manufacturing equipment, industrial equipment, or other types of industrial machinery
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required
  • No relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 50 miles of Eaton's Jackson, MS facility will be considered for this position

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of one (1) year prior experience operating and/or maintaining CNC equipment
  • Minimum of five (5) years prior work experience performing maintenance on manufacturing or industrial equipment
