Machine Operator - PTFE ILS 1 and 2 (Day Shift)

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - PTFE ILS 1 and 2 (Day Shift).

The hours for this role are 6 am to 4:30 pm

The hourly rate for this position is $18.75 per hour.

What you'll do:

Primary Job Function
Responsible for setting up and operating the inline extruders in the PTFE cell. This includes pin and die retrieval, extruding billets, quality checks, printing necessary paperwork and ensuring healthy levels of work in progress for next operation.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Set up extruder with proper pin and die according to set-up sheet
  • Load billet into extruder
  • Set limit switch and set dial speed for extruder
  • Examine extruded tube at beginning and end of each billet
  • Extrude tube onto pan(batch)/reel
  • Monitor tube dimensions with laser mic and flaw detector
  • Splice and cut tube
  • Monitor inline ovens
  • Complete operations in MFGPro
  • Disburse raw materials (powder, lube, etc.)
  • Keep up air emissions log
  • Climb up and down steps for ILS line one and two in order to rethread chains
  • Stage completed reel or tube in designated areas

  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to learn computer transactions
  • Ability to learn and successfully operate production equipment
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds unaided
  • Ability to work on elevated surfaces

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within themeaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

• 6 months manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 year experience with computer transactions in ERP system
• 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing
