Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - PTFE.

The hours for this role are 6am-4:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $18.75 per hour.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:
Responsible for maintaining certain levels of work in process including Teflon blending, preforming, carbon blending and 6 inch preform to ensure high quality material and healthy levels of work in progress for next operation.

• Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.

• Compound or process ingredients or dyes, according to formulas.
• Observe production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
• Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
• Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials.
• Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices, including but not limited to scales, hoists, temperature probes, and brushes
• Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.
• Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Transfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using moving equipment or hand tools, including but not limited to drum lifts, pallet jacks, elevator and conveyor.
• Record operational or production data on specified forms.
• Unload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
• Basic math skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving, prioritization and decision-making skills.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to learn computer transactions
• Ability to learn and successfully operate production equipment
• Ability to work in environment that is 50 - 60 degrees F
• Ability to lift 30 pounds unaided

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
• 1 year experience with computer transactions in ERP system
• 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing

Working Conditions
Physical Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area with some work activities being done in room with constant temperature between 50-60 degrees F. Conditions may produce some discomfort, e.g. exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and fumes.

Sensory Attention
Almost constant need to give concentrated attention where multiple stimuli are changing quickly, and where two or more senses must be used in coordination.
