Machine Operator Convolute (Weekend Shift)
Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Machine Operator Convolute (Weekend Shift).
The hours for this role are 6 am to 6:30 pm Friday - Sunday
The hourly rate for this position is Hourly Rate: 20.64 per hour per hour.

What you'll do:
Position Overview:
Responsible for set up and operating manual machines to convolute Teflon® hose in a spiral pattern. Completes set-up and break-down of machine which includes pipe changing. Also responsible for completing quality test in cell.

Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Set up tape convolute machine which includes installing carbon, Teflon, and aluminum tape
- Change gears on tape convoluter
- Change mandrels on tape convoluter
- Change oven pipes on tape convoluter
- Perform quality checks which include elongation tests, convolute count, wall thickness, outer diameter and inner diameter checks
- Visually inspect product for defects
- Move reels of tube to designated area of the facility as needed
- Set up bump convolute machine which includes changing out die and tube guide
- Adjust feed in and feed out speed and vacuum levels on bump convolute
- Perform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area.
- Produce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible.
- Review work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings. Accurately record data on appropriate paperwork
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within themeaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of manufacturing experience
- 1 year of inspection experience
- 1 year of experience with hand tools
- 1 year experience with computer transactions in ERP system
- 1 year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing
Skills:
- Basic math skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving, prioritization and decision-making skills
- Ability to work on a team
- Ability to learn computer transactions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to learn and successfully operate production equipment
- Ability to lift 30 lbs unaided
