The hourly rate for this position is $21.00/hr per hour. The core hours are 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

What you'll do:

The Legacy Clerk will assist the Shipping and Receiving department in all aspects of operations, including but not limited to; re-enforcement of shipping processes and procedures, ensuring safety within the shipping area, managing data collection, reporting, and storage, and overseeing packaging and shipment services for Non-Prototype domestic and foreign shipments, including mail and internal distribution of received packages.

In this function, you will:
• Supports the shipping and receiving department including picking, packing, put away, safety enforcement, data management, and handling shipments, deliveries, and mail.
• Provide shipping/receiving coverage and support during core business hours (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) and overtime hours as needed on short notice, including operating fork trucks upon obtaining certification.
• Communicate professionally with team members and internal and external customers.
• Maintain compliance with domestic and international freight standards, working closely with the logistics lead and the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department.
• Support department leads and supervisors in daily operations, including providing temporary supervisor coverage when necessary.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts and ensure accurate documentation of shipments in Oracle and Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Participate in on-the-job training (OJT), safety initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Assist and participate in continuous improvement activities or events
• Cross-train in other roles and take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 months experience with a Stand-Up/Sit-Down forklift, Cherry Picker, or a Reach Truck.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• No relocation is being offered for this role. Only candidates within a 50-miles radius of Dallas, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum of one year of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
• Minimum of one year of experience with the following software's: Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS) and SAP.

Position Success Criteria:

  • Must be able to demonstrate teamwork, assist during peak demand, and followed scheduled work hours and break periods.
  • Must be able to work overtime hours as needed on short notice.
  • Must be able to safely handle materials using assistive tools.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs with and push/pull up to 100 lbs without or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Proficient with various software applications such as Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS), SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc).
