Lead-Production Planning & Control

What you'll do:

This position is within the Supply Chain department in India. Candidate will be key driver of strategy execution & managing the Production Planning & Control of ITD-Coimbatore plant.

a)To prioritize work orders in each work Centre.
b) To change the due date of each work order based on remaining load and priority.
c) To convert the planned orders to Firm orders after reviewing 23.16 and change the due date if required.
d) To allocate the Machine for each operation per work order.
Analyze Load & Capacity of each work Centre
e) To fix the number of shifts
f) To propose if additional machinery or tooling required.
g) To optimize the utilization of machinery and manpower.
Work order Management
h) To convert the planned orders to Firm orders after reviewing 23.16 and change the due date if required.
i) Release the work orders after ensuring availability of components and machine.
j) Monitor the lad time for each work order strictly , alert the concerned and ensure on time completion.
k) Analyze the reasons for late work orders and suggest necessary corrective actions.
l) Review Action Message Reports and maintain past due work orders at Nil or Minimum.
m) To ensure availability for the firm and planned work orders.
n) Intimate SCM head if any demand for raw material or component arises.
o) Make suggestions to enhance the functionality of MFG PRO to improve the performance.

a) To release the work orders.
b) To change the priority and due date of work orders.
c) Allocation of Machines.
d) Authorize to approve level 3 & 4 documents and its DCR pertaining to Planning/Store process
e) Authorized for plant operation capacity planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters full time degree
• Experience of 10-12yrs (Bachelors)/ 6-8Yrs (Masters)
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in handling teams

Skills:

• Proficient with ERP systems & preferably MFG Pro.
• Proficient with all MS office products.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
• A good team player.
• Language: Fluency in English & Tamil is required. Other South Indian languages an added advantage.
• Capable of interfacing with all levels of management.
