Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Lead Continuous Improvement Engineer. The Continuous Improvement Engineer will be responsible to implement focused CIF and ELSS concepts in targeted operations within the Power Breaker Center and extended Switchgear Modernization Organization through LEAN Six-Sigma philosophies and tools in order to improve productivity, cost-out, on time delivery, and reduce the costs of nonconformance.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DIMENSIONS
List the specific functions, which must be performed in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above. Include references to dimensions if applicable, i.e. any record of measurable statistics which this position impacts; like income statements, forecasts, utilization, safety, EBE metrics, capital expenditures, headcount responsibilities, etc.
- Lead Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence.
- Lead or facilitate projects or events such as Rapid Improvement Events, VSM, Continuous Flow, Standardization 5S, Error Proofing, Eliminating Waste, TPM, Business Process Improvements, and Basic Problem Solving.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans for implementation of continuous improvement based upon lean assessment.
- Drive implementation of Eaton's CI Leadership Management System (Continuous Improvement Framework).
- Assemble, verify, and analyze the results from CI events, prepare reports and present findings
- Support Eaton's digitization initiatives with the implementation of manufacturing execution systems (MES) in shop floor, electronic data presentation, Industry 4.0 and automation.
- Support other key plant processes and provide cross-functional support as directed.
- Coordinate OPEX related self-assessments.
- Document and maintain manufacturing process work instructions
- Drive Manufacturing / Manufacturing Engineering tasks to completion in PROLaunch NPI and STP projects
- Support all EHS functions.
- Encourage team concepts and engagement.
- Support facilities and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or quality.

- Training and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma Tools
