Internship - Manufacturing Engineering - Rumford, RI

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern.

The Monthly rate for this position is $3,360 per month.

What you'll do:

This position is for a student pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering who will complete a specified project centered around improvement of an existing python program for digitization of product quality verification process at the East Providence plant. This role is designed to give a student real experience in a manufacturing facility with ownership of a tangible project that will have significant impact to the site.

The work will require a basic working knowledge of engineering principles, problem-solving methods, and python programing.

A. Design, analyze and improve processes for the manufacturing of dynamic seals.
B. Understand, learn and modify existing python program for dynamic seal inspection process.
C. Work with team members across all functions to gather data, information, and direction as needed.
D. Assist Manufacturing Engineers in various process improvement projects.
E. Work with customers, suppliers, project managers and other engineering disciplines to optimize designs and identify cost trade-offs.
F. Create a presentation on work completed throughout the internship, and present to Site Leadership Team

Basic Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering degree program at an accredited institution.
• Working to advance level knowledge of Python Programing skills.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
• Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Rumford, RI.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
