Internship: Engineering Summer - Lincoln, IL

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking an Engineering Intern.

What you'll do:

The Engineering Intern will be based at our Lincoln, IL facility. The Lincoln facility has approximately 700 employees and is a high-volume supplier of a wide array of residential power products and services for leading home improvement retailers. With over 50 years in operation, the Lincoln facility is well recognized in the surrounding community as the largest private employer and a leading charitable contributor.

Position Description

Here is your opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop your leadership skills. Our internship program is designed to provide opportunities to students who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 8 to 12-week paid internship, students will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by Eaton leaders. The objective of the internship is to develop students through practical manufacturing and operations experiences, as well as assist in the personal development of leadership competencies through training, networking and coaching. The assignment will help the participant develop a wide range of leadership and functional competencies within the field of engineering. Opportunities are available for those students interested in specific engineering functions such as Design, Manufacturing, Lean / Continuous Improvement, and Quality. By offering a challenging and rewarding experience, you can develop the skills to be a leader while growing with a company that has demonstrated a high degree of ethical principles where "doing business right" matters"

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in a Bradley University bachelor's degree program in engineering.
  • Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
  • Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located 50 miles of Lincoln IL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering major in mechanical, electrical, manufacturing engineering and technology
  • Prior internship or co-op experience
  • Completion of sophomore year by the start of internship
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community
  • The summer internship culminates with a formal presentation where students showcase their success stories to leaders of the organization and receive feedback on their performance.
