Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Ingeniero Sr APQP.

What you'll do:

Basic function:
This position executes the APQP process to ensures customer satisfaction with the new product or process and engineering changes, making sure the appropriate prevention and detection controls get implemented to make sure conforming product gets delivered to the customer when launching a new product and making sure the voice of the customer is considered during the process

Main responsibilities and authority:

• Provides the quality interface between the organization and their customers during new products introduction, and pro-actively ensures that the customer needs and expectations are understood and satisfied. This include the complaints and GP12/Safe Launch findings manage process during the launch and 90 days (about 3 months) after the SOP, putting in practice the preventive and corrective corresponding actions, through the 8D methodology and the update of the process' documents when the root cause is the new product or process.

• Prepare, compile and submit PPAP submission on time and with the expected content to promote customer satisfaction and avoid shipments delay.
• Serve as the interface between cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, production, logistics, etc.) to ensure all technical and process-related information is complete and aligned with customer expectations.
• Ensures the GP12/Safe Launch does not last longer than what was agreed at the beginning of project.
• Be part of the cross functional team working on the Error Proofing Plan and Design and together with the assigned Advance Quality Engineer work in the Pre-Launch Control Plan.
• Is the leader in the Production Control Plan creation, working with the cross functional team and having the Pre-Launch Control Plan, Flow Chart and, DFMEA and PFMEA as input.
• Manage customer portals for
• Administer customer portals for activities related to PPAP submissions, customer complaint management, and performance scorecard tracking, ensuring timely and accurate communication with clients.
• Provides tools and methods to promote continuous improvement activities through the well deployment of the PFMEA and Control Plan.
• Gives monitoring to measurement equipment requests and gages for tests, in the PPAP execution.
• Gives support to manufacturing, analyzing the line rejects and directing the efforts to identify and implement projects to reduce PPM levels before the launch and 90 days (about 3 months) after the SOP.
• Conducts process and product audits before the launch and 90 days (about 3 months) after the SOP to ensure conformance product production and to confirm operation metrics are met (scrap, FTQ).
• Ensure the project does not get transferred to production until the defined quality operational metrics are met.
• Follow up with the assigned SQE on supplier issues before the launch and 90 days (about 3 months) after the SOP. Review and validate that supplier capacity meet with Customer demand.
• Lead initiatives of problem-solving techniques such as six Sigma to improve Quality of projects since early phases (APQP) and assure project is delivered in optimal quality and productivity level (FTQ, Critical Quality issues etc.)
• Share and promote Problem solving knowledge with APQP and Serial production team for critical issues.
• MMESH compliance, follow up environmental and safety requirements applicable in assigned areas.
• Be part of cross functional team in VAVE projects, being main contact for customer, creating changes notification (SCRs) and notifying milestones dates, conducting special builds for customer validation as 'PV/PTR Builds.#LI-DG2

Qualifications:

Education level required: Industrial Engineering or related.
Years and area of experience required:

  • 3-5 years as APQP, NPI Engineer, Advanced quality Engineer or related role.
  • Strong new releases, NPI and engineering changes skills is a must.
  • Direct customer communication background (meetings, portals, mails, etc.)

Technical competencies:

  • English 90%. Written & verbal Skills.
  • Problem Solving Skills.
  • Automotive manufacturing industry is a must.
  • CQE certification / Six Sigma/Green Belt desired.
  • Statistical Tools
  • Automotive Customer Specific Requirements (IATF, BIQS, Q1, VDA). Experience with customer portals.
  • Core tools knowledge (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, PCP, PFD).
  • Quality Systems Knowledge.
  • Training & Functional competencies according EQMS Quality Training Policy (Internal).
  • Continues Improvement Competencies:
  • To achieve intermediate level for the following CI tools: 5's, SW, VSM, TVSM.
  • To achieve advanced level for BPS tool.
