What you'll do:

Job Summary
• The Die cast Engineer will work together with Engineering Services Team to analyze demand for each production cell to create and modify the product routing and die cast parameters. Analyzes the work centers and cycle times for each operation of the value stream in order to stablish the best LT according to our process capacities.

Primary Responsibilities
• Parameters die cast sheet update and validation
• Defines new Die Cast Molds Fabrication and repairs
• Creates working routings in MRP System
• Adjust existing working routings to update operations, sequences, and cycle times

• Transfer workload from other sites to Tijuana Facility
• Creates BOM and Item Masters according to Engineering Requirements
• Creates new Part Numbers and Defines together with Manufacturing Engineering the product routing and cycle times
• Costing of new work routings including Labor and Material
• Costing of routings transferred from other sites including Labor and Material
• Creates SWCS based on Least Waste Way defined by Manufacturing Engineering for each Product Family

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
• Possess strong knowledge of die cast process
• Possess knowledge of metal mechanic processes for detail fabrication and assemblies
(Die Cast, Machining, Welding, Sand Blasting, Assembly, Conventional Machining)
• Capable to work under minimal supervision
• Blueprint Reading GD&T
• Solidworks intermediate,
• Mastercam is a plus
• Self-directed / Ownership
• Strong Ability to stablish and documents robust processes
• Ability to lead and participate on Lean Kaizen Projects/Events
• Strong people skills, engagement with direct reports, teamwork, and others
• Should be able to travel domestically and internationally with short notice on occasions up to 10% of the time.

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
• A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or University in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience: 3 years or more working on Die cast process, Metal Mechanic Processes, Industrial Engineering and Process Engineering.
• Advanced Level of English.
• Computer Usage: Advanced
