Import / Export Specialist
What you'll do:
Job Summary
Prepare the necessary documentation for the import or export process of raw materials, tools, machinery and equipment, finished product, etc. Responsible for carrying out the procedures before the different customs and government agencies for the process of import and/or export operations, temporary and/or definitive.
Job Responsibilities
The position will be responsible for assisting the SCM Supervisor with all activities to support the organization development, all Training initiatives and measurements in purpose of supporting substantial business growth as well as comply with the requirements by ISO/TS, OpA, Lean initiatives, 5's, STPS regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Prepare the necessary documentation for the import/export process of raw material, tools, finished product, furniture, equipment, customer rejections, obsolete material from the plant assigned to the customer or supplier and vice versa.
B. Responsible for assisting in external or internal audits in the Foreign Trade department, whether those coming from the authorities or from external consultants.
C. Responsible for the processing of data and the integrity of foreign trade records, both physical and electronic, which include: pedimentos, coves, invoices, noms, dodas, list of documents, packing lists, summary entry, cf75 , certificates, among other documents used as evidence before the customs authorities.

D. Responsible for minimizing raw material inventories with backlog in the warehouse.
E. Compiles information for different reports or surveys by government agencies, such as INEGI, SAT, SUBMAQUILA, etc.
F. Preparation of invoices and/or virtual requests (movements in national territory)
G. Preparation of requests for customs disposal of waste.
H. Feeding the customs system with part numbers, material tickets, returnables, etc.
I. Audit of invoice information on both imports and exports and requests to preserve the integrity of the information.
J. Ensure the application of treaties and tariff preference programs for tax exemption and generate savings.
K. Performs the closing of consolidated requests.
L. Responsible for the identification and control of fixed assets from their import to their disposal and/or return.
M. Control of the relationship of entries to customs in the USA.
N. Maintains control and filing of requests and invoices as well as security seals.
A. Support the MESH Initiatives and Zero accident culture.
O. Support the Quality Systems as well as EBE, ISO/TS, OEA, CTPAT, etc.1. Daily import/export operation.
Qualifications:
Education level required
Bachelor degree on International Business or related
Years and area of experience required
3-5 years in similar position (Desirable)
Technical knowledge
Bilingual English/Spanish, Intermediate-Advanced in Excel, able to develop spread sheets, Experience in the forklift safety and maintenance, Experience Coordinating Physical Inventory
General knowledge of Customs Laws, Customs Regulations.
General knowledge of OEA/CTPAT
General knowledge of Regulations of the maquila regime in trade
MS Knowledge (Excel, PPT, Etc)
Intermediate level of English
