Eaton is seeking a IEC Systems Customer Engineering Centre Leader who will act as a key interface between engineering, commercial teams, and clients. In addition, this individual will coordinate cross-functional technical teams, represent the company in external technical discussions, and play a strategic role in enabling scalable, high-quality electrical system deployments.
What you'll do:
- Supports EMEA DC Head of Design/Global DC Chief Architect and Data Center Key Account Managers on AVL (Approved Vendor List) needs for programmtic buys and adhoc system designs support requests
- Manage, coordinate technical team in the center of customer engineering for IEC systems directly, and functionally
- Manage directly DC System Engineers, Solution architects
- Drive Organisation capabilities increase
- Focus on getting into Approved Vendor Lists for DC primarely
- Own system/products approval list for targeted DC segments and the roadmap, sequence, timing of required customer validation to support growth and allocate resource accordingly
- Allocate resources to AVL capture goals as a primary goal and projects as a secondary goal, ensure quality of deliverables
- Project management- oversee project timelines, budgets and resources
- Support margin improvement through development of the engineering teams to drive influence in AVL's, specifications, projects and provide optimized solutions to meet customer needs, tracking win rate % increase
- Be Eaton's technical representative or delegate/promote team members to sit in front of Customers, Consultants and on regional/EMEA level advisory boards an regulatory bodies
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including D&B, engineering, operations, and sales, to ensure the successful implementation of electrical projects.
- Act as Liaison between Business Unit Application Engineering and R&D
- Manage technical gaps and problem solve with Business Units on ETO, or future roadmap, escalate needs
- Drive innovation and development of digital tools with the engineering design teams
- Enable collaboration across multiple product technologies, building a systems engineering methodology that encompasses - Hardware, software and services
- Contribution to the development of pre-sales configuration systems and tools in close cooperation with the relevant IT teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
- Strong experience in electrical systems engineering, ideally within data center environments
Skills:
- Proven expertise in IEC standards, low and medium voltage systems, and power distribution architectures
- Strong experience in vendor qualification processes, product approvals, and AVL management
- Solid understanding of programmatic buying processes and alignment with technical requirements
- Demonstrated experience coordinating technical teams across multiple geographies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer-centric approach
- Ability to serve as a technical representative in client-facing engagements and engineering reviews
- Familiarity with electrical design tools, system simulations, and project lifecycle documentation
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Managing a team of business development managers that executes the key strategic tactics within the LV Plan
- Manage and provide direction to the wider teams on the tactical execution on building Organic Capability and partnering panel builders
- Supports the expansion of product portfolio to encompass and close the current gaps within Eaton's portfolio
